im 9 days into dreading my hair and i am in need of guidance on just about every part of the experience like how many times a week to wash etc.im usin the neglect method. please put ur two cents in. peace and love
wash when your hair feels dirty. don't condition. don't brush. don't use wax. that's all you need to know
I used to love using conditioner. Especially V05 hot oil. I never noticed any knots coming out because of it. It just felt great. People will freak because I'm saying this.
i use 1 drop of pure tea tree oil. ive been only washin it on sunday but was thinkin of washin tonite. no?
It's really up to what you want. The only reason I didn't wash my hair every day was the dry time. Go for it while your hair is still loose and will dry easily, you wont have that luxury later.
Tuesday today? And you washed it Sunday? As long as the dreads are BONE dry inside out then go for it use tea tree once a week
todays my tenth day of not combing so i dont have dreads yet. so i guess ill wash once a week. today is wednesday where im at. thx
i just wanna kno the quickest way for them to start knottin up. and should i wet my hair everyday when i shower or keep em dry. sorry im bein a pain in the ass. i just want my dreads to look sick like all u guys!
Well if you don't have dreads yet it's fine to get your hair wet everyday. As your dreads mature you want to keep them dry when they aren't being washed. Of course it'll be difficult to keep them dry in the shower, my dreads get wet at the bottom when I shower but as long as you let them get completely dry inbetween showering then your okay. Having them constantly wet will encourage mould growth which you don't want.
If you want a quicker way neglect probably isn't the best method, it takes longer to see any real results with neglect unless you have amazing hair xD
Grab a comb my Rastafarian friend. We have a tough battle ahead of us. My final and best advice is have a chick dread it for you.
Lol then just chill its gonna take like a year before you see decent results maybe a little quicker depending on your hair type but check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iB5MzG0BAk"]YouTube- Natural Dreadies! 2 1/2 Months w/o Combing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kodgiJedko0"]YouTube- 12 Month/1 Year Anniversary Spectacular!
