If you could bring back any 60's Icon and spend some time with them , who would it be from amongst all the great writers and poets, musicians and political people of that era ? If I could , I would love to bring back Janis Joplin and spend some time getting to know her , she had such a wonderful smile , and I just have the feeling she was a big hearted , vulnerable soul beneath all that Southern comfort.
it would be nice to have pat and richard nixon over for some coffee.maybe watch a baseball game or something.they seemed like such a nice couple.maybe they would prefer i come over to their place because they enjoyed entertaining guests.
jimi hendrix, id like to play guitar and hang out with him for a good while, play some jams, get high, philosophize haha, thatd be awesome!
Hendrix and his band, for sure. Get a few tricks n tips on the guitar n drums, then smoke ourselves silly!
The Beatles most definitely .. They are amazing, and inspire the poetry that i write, im completely obsessed with them Jimi Hendrix as well, it wud be great to just sit there as he plays the guitar, his playing is so powerful .. The Doors, their music just speaks to me All amazing music, a graet inspiration, and wud be fun 2 get high with XD
JFK and MLK...maybe they can help start another revolution... And if they can't then I really wanna drop some acid with the Beatles.
if i could bring anybody back it would probably the poet, singer, director, actor jim morrison...i am actually reading his biography and it seems to me that we have lots of things in common, plus his music is just fucking awsome and yeah get to know him !!!
Yeah Morrison was the shit. Are you reading No One Here Gets Out Alive? That's a good read. I'm not sure I could handle Morrison.
yeah that is the one im reading, have you read it ??...i'm almost done with it, i have like 143 pages left; but yeah i feel the same way you do, i probably could not handle him either, he was a very intelligent and mysterious human being!!!
janis joplin would be #1.. i absolutly love janis.. i wouldnt mind spending a bit of time with morrision either..
Can't I just go to the 60s instead of trying to bring someone here? I don't want to inconvenience anyone.
Not necessarily an icon, but I would just like to meet a woman who lived the "scene" during that era, just to get a true historical feel for the time period. However, I have to agree meeting Jim would be absolutely awesome; my husband has a print of his "No one here gets out alive" poster that was printed somewhere in Europe back in the day.
