I know as you get older you remember the good times and dismiss the bad. I do the same thing. As I sit here I can't help but wax nostalgic abut 1968-1972. Standing on my chair dancing as Leslie West played Mississippi Queen.. Tripping while standing in the rain. Laughing jags while stoned. Loving everything and every body. Watching Mick & the Stones sing Sympathy for the Devil at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Al. Watching a fire place melt into the hearth. Going into David and Sharon's bathroom tripping and grooving on the roaches on the wall. Going on Mr. Toads wild ride when a guy I was tripping with freaked out and jumped in my the drivers seat of my car. Working at a gas station and tripping as I watched the desk swirl and create new colors at 2:00 in the morning. On my knees in a plowed field in April in the warm spring sun and feel the the earth and I were one. Taking acid 30 minutes before I got to my destination and having the acid kick in too soon. God I miss that - I could go on for hours - and I may yet.
