Have you heard or participated in the 50501 movement yet? It's a grassroots movement to protest the actions of the Trump administration.

The original idea was to give people a date they could organize to come together to protest. Since February the movement has grown and protests are getting larger and are in 50 states.

I have seen a local protest, so this is what is needed to bring about change and save democracy. You can bet the Oligarchs arent sleeping so sound these nights. Better to stay on your mega yachts far out to sea.

Watching this coming together of these citizens who believe in democracy. Governments have to be very afraid when a movement has cross party members involved. A true movement of the people.
When things start to get dangerous my motto is "well they can't fucking arrest us all".
I hope this is true in America ( deliberate non use of USA because that is clearly not the case)

So Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzger has just called upon Americans to take to the streets and not let Republicans rest.

Now taking that literally, I'm envisioning parades in the streets banging EMPTY pots with noisemakers like they do in other countries. I can think of some Republican strongholds due for protests...peaceful as usual. Liberals are not known for starting insurrections and coups, only being the victims of them.

    From Wikipedia
During his governorship, Pritzker has focused on fiscal policy, education, healthcare, and criminal justice reform. He has legalized recreational cannabis, expanded abortion rights, and managed the COVID-19 pandemic in Illinois. Pritzker was reelected in 2022, defeating Darren Bailey.[6]

Oh and he's another billionaire, the owner of Hyatt hotels among other things, yet he's a dyed in the wool dem. A big one who may run for president, hence his words today in New Hampshire.

Maybe it's time to stop avoiding those MAGA friends and family and confront them. When they realize we're "mad as hell and not going to take it anymore!" and we outnumber them, maybe they'll start to deprogram...

Oh wow, new profession! MAGA DEPROGRAMMER!

Now YOU too can be a MAGA deprogrammer!
It's easy! Just send us $499.00 for your starter kit! Guaranteed to scare the MAGA out of anyone!!

Let's see, just change a bit of code here, insert a new line or two and voila! new program initiated.

Or just wait till an egg costs $3.

When you mentioned Pritzker's background, I was under the impression that the way politics and elections work in America it is almost impossible to run a successful campaign without huge financial backing and the endorsement of "important" businesses or people.

I read that article and it was just politically motivated crap.

Here in the UK ou mortality is1,500 per day, so buring ANY viral pandemic around 750 of the deaths will involve the virus. (based on 50% infection), so the figure is meaningless. The meaningful figure is the percentage mortality increase on 1,500.
Our 2020 deaths were 1.7% up on 2019, but lower than 2017.

Sadly, due to an inept government, a public health service in its infancy and idiots who rioted and refused to isolate. Using the same formula, US deaths in 2020 were around 9% up.on 2019. A total of around 400,000 unnecessary deaths.
