There is a window for public comments on this to the DOJ, the info for which I have put in bold below.

Another load of bull shit. Yeah, it is powerful drug but is not commonly done. Plus abuse potential is low due to tolerance imo. Fucking gov regulations, soon almost everything will carry a damn 10-20year stent.

This drug war is getting rediculous

What I cant understand is why they are NOW randomly deciding to schedule this chemical. Has anyone died? nope. They probably read a few erowid reports and said 'OH SHIT THESE DAMN HIPPIES ARE TRAVERSING THE DEPTHS OF THEIR MINDS AND REALIZING WHAT ASSHOLES WE ARE... AGAIN!'

why the fuck havent they scheduled all the other RC's? they are all very clearly mostly all exactly the same... why all the selective scheduling... none are common, nobody WANTS to do them in public, and nobody is dying, so what the fuck is this shit? abuse potential? abuse potential my ass... why don't they try the drug before they decide if its got abuse potential or not. It would probably scare the shit out of their pathetic inferior minds.

Haha wouldn't it be awesome if they had to try a drug themselves to determine it's abuse potential. Have all the LE trippin balls.

a book called "Tryptamine Palace" [predominately about 5-meo-dmt] was published in may of 2009...this probably had something to do with the scheduling.

I didn't read it, but a friend who did told me that they briefly reference the online RC scene, which made me very pissed off...that's how someone KILLS the scene...sigh.

Regulating this analogue of DMT is pointless. DMT is schedule one but feds, cops, and probably most of the DEA have no clue what to even look for to find DMT. Even if they did, people currently using this sunstance are mostly well respected people and very smart about there drug use and discretion.

Go put a dildo in your ass DEA and Obama.

Not surprising knowing this government and its history.

No DMT/MeO-DMT, etc. but I can get as much San Pedro as I want

And god forbid getting poppy pods on ebay...

It's not illegal yet. They have 30 days or so for public comment, the most heavily weighed of these comments come from industries affected by the potential burdens of the new illegalization/regulations. That is a bit overblowing the weighing of comments from the public though. In all reality, they don't give anyone's comments any weight. They just ban it after the legally mandated time alotted for review. So by my estimation, it will be Schedule I in late September to October some time.

After that month or two of waiting, they review it and add it to the list or don't. I don't think there's been one instance since 1970 where they didn't ban what DEA wanted banned. The closest would be TFMPP which, after being emergency scheduled with BZP, was not recommended for permanent scheduling because it wasn't a prevalent drug in it's own right, only in combo with BZP. BZP was permanently scheduled.
