Some deodorant companies lately have been advertising products that last for 48 hrs. Why would you need that unless you planned not to shower for 2 days? Which might be a hint.as to why you need supersonic deodorant in the first place, duh
They don't work anyway. I've tried many deodorant brands and types because in summer I just flood my skin with sweat and there's not one deodorant that I found that actually lasted the desired length of time like advertised, especially not the wet sprays.
Maybe for people who are on all day flights and things and cannot shower frequently? I do not know, as I don't believe in deoderant in the first place, as it clogs your pores. I believe in natural remedies.....and also, what you put into your body makes a difference. Coffee is no good for that....I don't smell half as bad when I do not drink any, and I bathe frequently.
Yea they don't work. The multi-pack I get at Costco always has 3 24hour deodorants and one 48 hr deodorant in it and I swear the 48 hour one doesn't even work as good or last as long as the 24 hour one. And I don't know why you would need one to last 48 hours anyways.... can't shower for a day? Reapply deodorant. Duh.
There was a time period where I decided to try that crystal deodorant and various other natural deodorants (without antiperspirants) and none of them worked for me. That's great the people they work for but they're not for everyone. I also like natural remedies, but for me... not for deodorant.
THIS ---------------------------><--------------------------Is the best thing ever for deodorant! Gold bond keeps me cool and dry and has a nice smell. Very natural too. One big bottle like that lasts me nearly a year! I've been using it for more than 20 yrs, with no bad reactions either. No sweat, good smell! When I stop using it, I have problems (itching) which it has kept at bay all these years. More info here: http://www.goldbond.com/extra-strength-body-powder.html
I've tried a few of the natural deodorants and they all suck. An hour later and you smell. I've found that the best deodorant for the price is simple Speed Stick. It offers good protection and is cheap. I've used Axe a few times and found that, other than having a nice smell, it makes my armpits itch. Plus it costs twice the amount as Speed Stick. Plus Axe is like some dudebro shit and makes me think of Affliction t-shirts and douche bags with "sleeves."
Axe make me want to kill the people that wear it with an ax.. right guard, brute, speed stick all smell like THE POLICE!
I actually really enjoy the scent of my "bo" which I don't even count as an odour because I like it so much. I try and not to use deodorant on the weekends or during time off. I'm weird like that. My sweat smells like chlorine and reminds me of swimming pools.
Axe annoys the hell out of me too. Lol... I'm such a bitch but my mother in law got some various Axe scented stuff for my hubby for his bday or something once and I was like "um do you like how that stuff smells?" and he was like "nah" and I was like "throw it away!" so he did. Haha. I wanna know what those other three smell like now to know if they smell like the police... hmm
By Mennen.. lol remember the commercial? I never knew if they was saying \BUY or BY/ thats a genius ad ploy.. havent seen the commercial in 20yrs, but still know it.
Then by all means enter the time machine Mr. Wells..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zWUkaXALj4 Hotwater
You don't work at a public pool or something, do you? It's a little alarming that your sweat would smell like that.
Nope, don't do anything like that. To me it smells like chlorine, that's what it reminds me of. It probably doesn't at all though.
Hey, maybe they say 48 as advertising gimmick....48 is double one day....so that is what that makes people think of. It is all Madison Avenue advertising....subliminal messaging..... Skip, I am going to try that stuff you suggest. Do you know if it has talc in it.? That is not supposed to be good, either.... When you put powder on and the talc gets in the air and you breathe it...it gets into your lungs and that is supposed to not be so good for the lungs to breathe in.
washing with a half and half mix of rubbing alcohaul and non-alkaline liquid soap, fallowed by a thorough rinse is cool, refreshing and natural. talc, i think, sticks to the natural moisture of the skin. if it gets in the air and the lungs you're using way too much of it. however, again to each their own, but it seems to me that a good disinfectant rinse would be the best thing, as its bacteria that causes the odor. or again so i'm told. for that guy on that long distance flight, or train ride, or car drive, or bus ride, a talc based product makes sense. (absorbing the sweat and thuse discouraging the growth of bacteria without the unhealthy effect of plugging the poors) i don't think i'd ever want to use those gel stick things, or the sprays. they make you feel all sticky and gummy and can't possibly be good for you, plugging your poors so you don't sweat, is defeating the body's natural cooling system, and that, i should think, would increase the risk of heat stroke.
Rubbing alcohol is the best thing to clean your armpits with, if you are not bathing.....so, I use body sprays for under my arms as my deodorant.....I like the raspberry one the best........ The body sprays have alcohol in them, as well.
i've tried those. they're good. i tend to forget they exist. my improvisation is a fairly reasonable equivalent. i'm glad you reminded me of them. i'll keep an eye out for them next time i shop where they might have any.
