420 for posers?

Usually when 420 ROLLS around(funny joke, i know) it seems like everybody BUT the potheads are excited...what do you guys think?Is 420 for posers or do you guys participate in this rediculous celebration?

haha yeah man...i mean, i usually smoke on 4:20 and shit and sometimes i'll smoke at 4:20 during the day...but i dont think about it, or talk about it or go around bragging about it and shit, ya know?

I'm not really excited about it but I do try to make a special day out of 4-20, this year I tried to get high before school but I ended up getting so high that I didn't want to walk up to school and only went as far as CVS

 

Don't really get the whole 420 thing.. it's soooo american to me. Here weed can be bought totally legal and I really don't see people make a big deal out of pot. I didn't smoke the whole weekend and today (Monday) I toked twice in the afternoon.. no idea what time it was.

everytime is a good time to celebrate whatever.. but since I don't make a big deal out of drinking juice or having chocolate I don't make a big deal out of tokin either. Just a normal part of my life, no need to be all conscious about it I guess.

 

Velvet pretty much nailed it for me. Even though I don't live in the Netherlands,unfortunately, it's pretty much a daily part of my life.Idon't look forward to it, but if I'm deprived I GET PISSED.

i joke around, like when i hight with ome buddies ill say hey look what time it is wen its 420 but i used to think it was cool when i was 12 but not any more especialy when funny people think no one knows what 420 is and bring drugs to school and get bbusted.

 

big deal 4:20... i hate when people cheer "its 4:20!!!" big flippin deal... i get high whenever i feel like getting high... its not a schedualed thing to do... its just part of every day life.... 4/20 though is a different story... it only comes along once a year and its a day where every stoner can and usually will celebrate the power of the herb...

 

Maybe not for poseurs. Maybe just for people who always get there a little late if you catch my meaning. Everybody knows the new time to get high is 6:28.57

 

im kinda w/ kris_p on this one, 4:20 has always been something that seems to kind of sneek up on u, most of the time i miss it, but the radio station the i listen to(99.9 KISW(seattle washington) dose a thing on it everyday at 4:20 so when i hear that i usually think, "Hey, 4:20 im gonna take a fat bong rip" no matter how stoned i already am. its not like its religious or anything
i guess its just personal preference, but u guys are right smoking pot is just part of my life and if i happen to smoke on 4:20 then its cool i guess. but it dosent reallly matter cuz i smoke everyday like 10 to 12 times a day.

 

hmm 4:20......well i havent smoked on it 2 years in a row. next year i will though. Its kind of degenerated when you got all these alki jocks and cokehead sluts calling themselves stoners on 420 and shit but oh well. in my eyes it will always be a STONER HOLIDAY and that means a day for me to chill with my buddies who know what the fuck they are talking about and smoke and chill. but then again 420 isnt really diff from my regular routine, other then we buy alot more weed.

 

I celebrate 4/20, not religiously, but for example, this year, I skipped school to go to some pot rally at CU.

 

I enjoy 420 personally. I smoke everyday but that day is different, I smoke all day and just enjoy the holiday.

 

hell yea.... we use to have a radio station that had "the 4:20 hit of the day" it was a rock/metal station out of a near by city.... college radio usually makes some mention of 4:20.... dunno if they do it all the time... dont listen to college radio unless im in my car

well sometimes i do smoke around 4:20pm or something but its not like i really noticed...maybe i smoke at like 4:10 and then after im all stoned and look at the clock its like 4:20 and im like WOW man its 4:20..how ironic! but im mostly a evening-night toker myself.

and about the day 4-20 , april 20th....every1 does make a big deal about it...haha i mean its weird..its the same as getting stoned on any other day..but somehow on apr.20th its a lil more 'specail' . for some reason? haha. its jus kinda fun i guess and happy to see that marijuana has a specail day. i remeber the boyfriend i had in april, he wanted me 2 quit for a whole month of april..and i was like 'no way man, its 4.20 in a few weeks!'

i always miss it. and never have weed near me when the clock says 4 20

why have any special days jees... i mean in theory every say should be special and a celebration... but thats not how it works.

so theres a national weed day who cares, enjoy it or dont. why diss it? i cant relate to you americans caus people dont even know what it means here and so posers definately wouldnt have a clue.

 

yeah, it's kinda dumb. I think I smoked the last two 4/20's, but not really because it was a holiday. It just reminded me, and I felt like smoking. Plus, two years ago it was Easter, so I was smoking because of that. I mean, that's an actual holiday (even though I'm not christian...well, it was a full moon too that night, so hurray!).

I remember in high school, kids would be all excited and talk about it, one kid couldn't smoke because...well, shit that was 5 years ago, I can't remember why...anyways, he was being all depressed, and I thought the kid was fucking lame because of it. I didn't smoke yet, but I never held anything against smoking, I just thought he was being a whiney bitch.

It is kinda cool, though, to smoke that day and think about how many other people are getting stoned at that very moment. :H

 

I was supposed to skip school on 4/20 and go chill with my friends this year, but I didn't get a chance to, but oh well. I just see it an excuse to just chill and not really give a fuck about anything except getting high.
