So this evil scumbag 'nasty party' government thinks that 3% pay offewr is acceptable to our NHS heroes, given the unstinting work they have completed these past 18 months.

Well for those of you who think like me, and consider this pay offer a despicable insult, we'll see you the picket line outside the hospital when the nurses, doctors and ancilliary staff strike !!!

This isn't just in the UK. Here in the U.S. employers of ANY sort think even a 3% pay increase is way too much - or that NO pay increase is deserved unless an individual brings in a massive amount of new profit. This - while executive pay rises every year at about the same, continuing rate - 33% each year. This as the cost of living goes up for the avg. worker every year.

I don't know how it works in the UK, but here in the BIG-MONEY-RULED U.S., executives of corporations have "golden parachute" pay, bonus, and severance packages written into their contracts with a company. So even if an executive runs a company into the ground - or close to it (Carly Fiorina at Hewlett-Packard, for example) - they get to walk away with multiple millions in cash, stock shares, medical health care, and sometimes - even use of the company jet(s) for their private use. The executives preach "merit-pay", but when they fail themselves ................. they walk away filthy rich.

What happens when an "avg." worker makes a mistake, or costs the company money??? Do they get to walk away after being fired with FAT, JUICY pay & benefits packages???

To even SUGGEST such a measly 3% pay increase for the very people who were fighting to SAVE LIVES, and working 16, 18, even 24 hours shifts .................. is CRIMINAL. Those who suggest such a paltry increase should themselves BE FIRED with NO PAY & NO BENEFIT PACKAGES. Give THE TIGHT-WADS a taste of hardship.
