There is a humorous subplot in which a nun seduces a plantation owner in South Africa in order to have him bring justice or help people on the plantation. Minuses: The director has made a movie out of three totally unrelated stories, one in South Africa, one in south China, one in Canada. He does not inform the viewer who the characters are and what they are doing. Only by reading the above synopsis (after the fact in my case) is the viewer informed about important details of the story line. The movie is about AIDS and its effect on people's lives. However, the film switches unpredictably from one location to another, leaving the viewer confused. It would be more successful as a film if the director and writer had confined the movie to one story line and one location.
