So u feel big talking shit about a dead man?
It's a shame that people that r a real contribution to society are dead and posers like you are alive. It should be the other way around.

He wasn't my favorite, but claiming that he's whack is pretty lame.

Tupac is always going to be the greatest but everybody has their own opinion. There isn't to many people out there that don't like Tupac but when one does come alone I just ignore them. Because a lot of times they really like that person but they just want to get a rise out of everybody. If he was so whack he wouldn't been #1 for selling the most records in hip-hop history on MTV2. So you do the math.

Lol at measuring artists by record sales. Aesop Rock>>>Tupac. He wasn't all that poetic or revolutionary, and had horrible production.

Well I'm not trying to argue with anyone because thats pretty pointless. Because you aren't going to change my mind on my view of Tupac and I'm not going to try and change your mind. So you have your opinion and I have mine and lets leave it at that. If you really are 14 years old its just you are to young to really feel him on a deep tip thats all. Because when I read A Rose That Grew From Concrete it was very moving to me. But it is what it is.

That poam always made me laugh. It's gets put on such a pedestal when it's really generic and boring. What makes me laugh as well is your "Your too young to 'feel' him" aarguement.

    [Chorus]
    California...knows how to party
    California...knows how to party
    In the city of L.A.
In the city of good ol' Watts
In the city, the city of Compton
We keep it rockin! We keep it rockin!

    [Verse One: Dr. Dre]

Now let me welcome everybody to the wild, wild west
A state that's untouchable like Elliot Ness
The track hits ya eardrum like a slug to ya chest
Pack a vest for your Jimmy in the city of sex
We in that sunshine state with a bomb ass hemp beat
the state where ya never find a dance floor empty
And pimps be on a mission for them greens,
    lean mean money-makin-machines servin fiends
I been in the game for ten years makin rap tunes
ever since honeys was wearin sassoon
Now it's '95 and they clock me and watch me
Diamonds shinin', lookin' like I robbed Liberace
It's all good, from Diego to tha Bay
Your city is tha bomb if your city makin pay
Throw up a finger if ya feel the same way
    Dre puttin it down for
    Californ-i-a

    [Chorus]
California (california)...knows how to party (knows how to party!)
California (west coast)...knows how to party (yes they do)(that's right)
In the city of L.A. (city of L.A.)
In the city of good ol' Watts (good ol' Watts)
In the city, the city of Compton (city of Compton)
We keep it rockin! We keep it rockin! (come on, come on, come on...)

    Shake it shake it baby
Shake it shake it, shake it baby
    Shake it shake it mama
    Shake it Cali
Shake it shake it baby (thats right, uh)
Shake it shake it baby baby, shake it shake it mama, shake it Cali...

    [Verse Two: 2Pac]

Out on bail fresh outta jail, California dreamin
Soon as I stepped on the scene, I'm hearin hoochies screamin
    Fiendin for money and alcohol
the life of a west side playa where cowards die
    and its all war
Only in Cali where we riot not rally to live and die
In L.A. we wearin Chucks not Ballies (that's right, uh)
Dressed in Locs and khaki suits and ride is what we do
Flossin but have caution we collide with other crews
    Famous cause we program worldwide
Let'em recognize from Long Beach to Rosecrans
Bumpin and grindin like a slow jam, it's west side
So you know the row won't bow down to no man
    Say what you say
But give me that bomb beat from Dre
Let me serenade the streets of L.A.
    From Oakland to Sactown
The Bay Area and back down
Cali is where they put they mack down
    Cali-love

    [Chorus]
    California (california)...knows how to party
California...knows how to party (come on baby)
    In the city (south-central) of L.A. (L.A.)
In the city of good ol' Watts (uh, that's right)
In the city, the city of Compton (yup, yup)
We keep it rockin! We keep it rockin! (yeah, yeah now make it shake - c'mon)

Shake it shake it baby (uh)
Shake it shake it, shake it baby (ahh, yeah)
Shake it shake it mama (ahh)
Shake it Cali (shake it Cali)
Shake it shake it baby (shake it Cali)
Shake it shake it, shake it shake it mama (west-coast), shake it Cali... (ooooooooheeooheo!)

    [Outro: Dre, 2Pac]

Uh, yeah, uh, longbeach in tha house, uh yeah
Oaktown, Oakland definately in tha house - hahaha
    Frisko, Frisko
[Tupac] hey, you know LA is up in this
    Pasadena, where you at
Yeah, Ingelwood, Ingelwood always up to no good
(Tupac) Even Hollywood tryin to get a piece baby

Cause you and I know it's tha best side

    [Chorus]
California (california)...knows how to party (knows how to party)(yeah)
California (california)...knows how to party (knows how to party)
In the city of L.A. (South Central, uh)
In the city of good ol' Watts
In the city, the city of Compton (in the city of Compton)

Tupac wasn't poetic? Did you ever read any of his poems from The Rose That Grew From Concrete? If not, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

That's the same thing I brought up to. Just read his poetry book. And actually California Love wasn't a poem it was a song. Listen to "Brenda's Got A Baby", "Dear Mama", "So Many Tears" and you will see a much more deeper side to him on his songs. But you are young there is no denying that. I'm not trying to attack you I'm just being real. But like I said before I'm not trying to change your mind or argue with you. So if you feel that way so be it. Its kind of pointless to go back and forth because you aren't going to change your mind and I'm not going change mine either. So I always have felt him and you don't so lets just leave it at that.

I hate tupac. Why do people like him so much? His music sucks. I went shopping last week with my boyfriend so he could get a sweater and i saw shirts with tupacs face all over it and pants with his picture on one of the back pockets. If i ever saw someone wearing any of that i would ask them why they would ever wear that and most likely make fun of them.

Whats really sad is that corporations are making money of a dead man who shouldnt be as respected as he is. How was he a contribution to society? Why exactly was he soo good? I suppose Anna Nicole Smith is the bomb shit also, I cant wait for 10 yrs later when companies start selling her shit on t-shirts and clothing. Tupac is dead and nobody can bring him back, I dont see Elvis Presley coming out with new shit so why is he? MONEY. Tupac wasnt about great music but were he was gonna get his next paycheck from. Just like any "big" rapper today aka eminem.

Actually they're both songs, and this is about him as a musicia not as a poet. No one will ever change anyone's mind, but it's damn fun to argue.

the one thing you're right about is that Tupac wasnt all about the "music", he was about sending a message, and he did that damn well, hes one of the most influential artists ever

No, he's really not. There are far more influential rappers.
