The Number 23, the new Jim Carrey movie. I really hope this movie is as good as it looks on the previews cuz Im going to see it on Sunday. I do think its kinda a strange role for Jim Carrey though. It seems like comedians are breaking into different categories of film. Like Wil Ferrel in Stranger than Fiction.. although the movie had comical points, it was not even closely based just around the comedy. I just hope Jim Carrey does as good as I thought Wil Ferrel did in Stranger than Fiction! [he was so fuckin awesome in that] but yeah, all in all, im excited to see that movie.. on a slightly related note: i think 23 would be a really great age
Seven years closer to thirty than twenty. That commercial freaks the shit out of me because there's a commercial for Nike basketball shoes and the jerseys are all "2", "3", "23", "33".... and it came on after I saw it, earlier.
It's quite a coincidence with all of the things associated with the number.....or is it aoincidence at all??? Anyway, it looks pretty good. I'd like to see it.
I agree, it looks like it'll be a pretty good movie, and, yes, I'm most likely going to go see it when it's out... Although 300 looks more interesting, as far as action goes... But 23 looks pretty damn sweet.
Well he was pretty good in the Truman Show it wasn't that much of a comedic movie ... Let's just wait and see
I love Jim Carrey, in general... Mostly because he's so much like Andy Kaufman, yet his own charachter.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was also a good non-comedic Carrey movie. And Jim Carrey was known to chill with Phish. I remember hearing a story about he and them having a few too many brownies.
i like jim carrey. the movie does look cool, although i will not see it. not until its on dvd at least
I've never seen that movie, although i have always wanted to... yeah, i thought of cable guy too, but i think in a strange way, that movie tried to be very comedic... and it was in its own way.
Yeah, The Cable Guy is definitely a comedy. But like others have said, he's a good dramatic actor as well. I think he's really, really good in Eternal Sunshine--You should definitely see it.
That's where I feel you're wrong... just the concept of Jim Carrey starring in these kind of movies is somewhat laughable and intriguing, even if they do suck total ass, ya dig? I tend to enjoy it because most of the movies he's done so far have had some sort of real meaning or moral to it, either way... rather than most suspense/drama/horror just being forms of entertainment.
A great non-comedic Carrey movie people always fail to mention is The Truman Show... great idea, and rather good movie.
