Has anyone heard of this? I saw some youtube videos on it, but it's confusing to me. Can someone explain it to me?
It's a year in which nothing special will happen but everybody thinks something will because an ancient civilization suddenly ended their calender there. These same people fail to take into account the inaccuracies of our own calender. We may be off by decades.
See I agree with Crazybutlazy. What they mean is that Bush is suppose to be the Anti-Christ and is to get shot in the head, but actually die and then come back to life and Iraq or Iran or whatever has plutonium put in 6 different spots in the world. so basically if we nuke them and they nuke us then everybody will die and that will be the end of the world. But I dunno. It seems a lil weird, but crazy if you ask me!
It's the year the Mayan calender ends, so it is spun by all these New Age scam artists as a way to sell books and movies and create all these fascinating doomsday stories that people love. If anything it's a diversion away from what is really going on, which has been thoroughly documented. The world isn't going to end, but what is happening is that we are entering a new age, which will entail a completely different way of living than what we know now. The people behind this system plan many years ahead, and they openly talk about this new system that's to come. If the people behind this knew the world was going to end, they wouldn't be writing the plans for 10-20 years from now. We are going to see major changes in just the next 2-3 years, let alone the next 5-10 years. We are looking at the unification of the Americas by 2010, and the UN is set to take over openly as the world government in 2012.
2012 is not the end of the world, but a new beginning. a new level of consciousness. it is not religious. the mayans are only a very small part of it. it may not even occur until 2015, but it will happen. things are changing. you can read it, see it, FEEL it. people who use the concept to make money must be ignored. do your own research. start out with Daniel Pinchbeck's book 2012 and move on from there. you won't be ready, but hopefully you will be as open as i am. @beautifulhippy2: ...not quite...
DaveyJones, you saved me from having to type everything you said. If ya haven't already, check out James Redfield's "The Celestine Prophecy" and his non-fiction "The Celestine Vision".
The ones working to bring about THEIR utopia are working to bring about OUR hell, because their utopia is our hell. These New Age books are all establishment-promoted and funded, and if you would just look at some of the people churning out these books, you would see that many of them have ties to the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), which is the stateside offshoot of Britain's Tavistock Institute, and is in charge of putting out a lot of the books on UFO's, time-travel, remote viewing, etc.. The Celestine Prophecy is another one of those "best-seller" New Age books that was put out there to mislead the public by selling them a religion, while conditioning them to accept the changes that are to come as if they are natural... let alone changes that are actually favorable to them. Most of this 2012 New Age nonsense is toxic garbage being pumped out of all the big commercial bookstores, all across the world, to mislead people. We are literally entering a period that could only adequately be described as hell on earth, while all these books are being peddled to the masses with an agenda, to tell us how great things will be and how we will all be united. And we will all be united under a world tyranny, microchipped and connected to a computer database that will do all our thinking for us.
on the contrary, fear is what is being peddled to us. there will be no apocalypse, but rather a social evolution. we will unite to fix not only the harmful trends we've started, but the earth itself. we will delve into our minds instead of the technology we create... easily foreseen, not easily accepted. again, look to the consciousness of man for answers. you already know them hell on earth? who preaches that? answer your own questions, lest you be misguided by those around you...
But who told you this nonsense, and why do you believe it? I never said there would be an end to the world. I said that we are entering a NEW AGE and, contrary to what all the establishment-promoted New Age books are saying, it's not going to be some happy utopia where everybody loves his neighbor. It will be a utopia for those at the top of this system only. It will be a living hell for everyone else. That's why this New Age garbage is toxic, because as things start to turn rancid, all those who have swallowed the poison put out in these books will just sit back as the world burns, thinking it's just a natural evolution and naively believing a positive change is coming where everyone will sing and dance in harmony. They won't know until they're carted off to be exterminated that they've been conned by carefully-crafted propaganda. You talk like you have some sort of psychic knowledge about the future, apparently blind to the direction in which we are headed, which is anything but pretty.
wow pressed rat, I must say you constantly surprise me I fully understand where you are comming from but 2012 seems rather too soon, unless we have another 911- that will definately boost the UN world goverment. Otherwise many people would be agianst such an 'obvious' invasion or confinement of freedom/privacy. But the signs are there, the way we live will definately change forever- for the worse, unfortunately but that doesnt mean all that 'new-age' information is crap- it just needs to be interpreted correctly and actually used not just read.
@pressed rat: my words i share here are my own, not quotes or segments of writing. i'm not blind either - it is my interpretation, as you have yours. no one here can be wrong as the events have not yet occurred. you're saying the media on 2012 is just a distraction for the real event - an extermination. that's an interesting idea! please continue. @hyperborean: i agree! it's all about interpretation...
man, if we are all gonna just be exterminated in 2012, i'd much rather live under a happy delusion of optimism than in bleak and depressed paranoia till then. personally i think terence mckenna had a nice view on what is going on.
i live in neither state. i am not paranoid over what will happen, nor do i see the future as bleak. i am somewhat optimistic, but i'm not worried. i've accepted what is possible and still retain what i know to be true. life is good, haha
I simply see it as a continual process of change.. 2012 represents the change.. Many people confuse the maya calendar(a round one) with our gregorian calendar(a linear one) where an end means an end... but no, a circular calendar keeps going...so it is simply a new beginning, whatever that means..no one knows.. to believe you know is to deny wisdom, which is the beauty of wonder, mystery...the unknown..this is why our species has lived and survived at all.. to have wonder and curiousity keeps us going, to hold fast in our thoughts is to die... continually being reborn is life itself.. I choose life, from here on out its only into the future of inifinite 'nows'.. with only the present in our hands... (I'm not saying that I haven't had similar thoughts and beliefs as you Pressed Rat, but I also believe that if you constantly fill the universe with your continual approval and idea that horrible things can exist, then you are only making them more possible.... instead of focusing on what you DONT want... focus on what you DO want...that will result in a more positive future fit to your liking... knowing what you don't want is only half the battle, it is much more productive to figure out what you do want.. focus brings wisdom and light)much love
the mayan calendar has been VERY correct in terms of human evolution... do some research before you say its bullshit
