I bitch about all these corn fields but when i really think about it im not bad off at all

 

It's sad that most of the countries are in Africa. I think Africa has a lot to offer the world, but are torn apart because of the oppression.

 

Theres tribal wars and child soldiers in all those destinations. Not surprised by the list. I would include Sri Lanka.

Kinda makes you feel good to have the bloods and crypts around. Little thuggish, but good people.

 

Africa has tons to offer the world, It's affluent in resources, land, culturally very diverse, smart people, generally the populations are more sparse then say SE Asia.

Africa has a lot of potential. There are a myriad of intense problems plauging the continent, several of which G-8 nations augment.

 

Usually I love augmentation but...

 

I knew there were child soldiers out there, but I guess I never really THOUGHT about the gravity of it until I saw the movie "Blood Diamond" and I was just SHOCKED and sickened by it.

Seriously, there's something really wrong when a six year old or five year old is carrying a machine gun. That makes my stomach turn.

 

Blood Diamond was an excellent film. I had known about the gravity of it, but I didn't feel like I was communicating it well.

The 15% figure they gave is a ball park too. I have heard figures that it was nearly 30% during Sierra Leones civil war.

Ironically, I never cared much for Dicaprio as an actor when he was on a sinking ship, but I liked him a lot as a weary diamond smuggler who reddems himself at the cost of his life.

That's dreamy.

I'd talk more about it, but my life has reached a point where if I take on any more stress, I might go on a week long thorazine bender, so I'll leave it at that.
