2005 ranked as one of the best years of my life. It is was the best year of my adult life. I had plenty of money in the bank, vacation time, got a raise, had job security, had just come off my depression meds, remodeled my home, joined the HF, and had nearly zero problems. It was a hell of a great time!

2006 is, no doubt, the absolute WORST year of my life (childhood included). I am sitting on negative money in the bank, owe everything twice, had my company raise our insurance rates, nearly lost my car, had four of my best employees leave for other jobs, had my phone cut off twice, power nearly cut off, water twice, and recently had a collection agency threaten to garnish my wages. No one has died. Yet. Although my wife WAS hospitalized for three weeks in March-April.

Hopefully, things will change very soon. I am going for a new job interview tomorrow and the rate of pay there is nearly $6000 more per year than what I make. A pretty good (and desperately needed) raise!

I can definitely say that your friend, Libertine, has been humbled this fucking year. Not that I was arrogant to begin with, but...it's been excruciatingly painful and I started drinking more and am beginning to get BACK on the meds that I got off of last year.

I've never been a big capitalist, but the poorer I get and the more I see others suffering and the fat cats getting fatter, the angrier I get. It's not envy, it's outrage. I don't have to be rich with millions (and don't care to be), but it is a crying shame that people are like me or worse off and those who ABUSE OUR NATURAL RESOURCES for profit are living like three kings.

I can barely afford to feed my family, goddamnit!

Well, wish me luck on the new job. Hopefully the law of averages will work out in my favor this goddamn time and not Murphy's fucking law.

Yes that sounds like you've had a very bad year. You have 3 more months to make it up, maybe the end of the year will be worth the struggles so far.

And I've had a horrible 2006 too. I don't know what to say.
