Wow, how small is that!!! Dodgy rolling as well *constructive criticism*: it isn't a straight smooth roll but I suppose I've seen worse. Certainly doesn't look like you've used 2.5g but who am I to call you a liar. Also, is there a roach in that? It looks like a miniature blimp! Practice makes perfect, aye.
ha i guess its not as crazy looking when your sober well i didnt weigh it but i had a quarter and it seemed like at least a third of the bag went into that joint so thats 1\12 of an oz with 24 g to an oz thats like 2 g and i figured it was a little more than a third of the bag but i was drigh as shit and i ended up smokin the rest of the bag and the joint so i got no proof we can call it 1 g if you like
I don't like your joint because I wasn't there to smoke it. But other than that, it looks fine enough. Long as it smokes, and you get high.
if it hits well and burns straight, then its fine. i would have tried again, personally, because i like more of a cone shape and prefer to have it more open at the end you're inhaling from. it looks like it wouldnt hit very well, and that it would in turn run a lot. the best hitting joints are usually thicker at the mouth end than this joint is, and either straight in shape (like from a rolling machine, so long as you dont roll too tight) or cone shaped, flaring out to the widest section, the end that you light. i would never recommend twisting it or leaving it meagerly packed in the hitting end, though, and the twisted-at-both-ends style (classic american joint) works very poorly for cannabis, even if its ok for cigarettes if you're low on tobacco. it gunks up too much and tastes nasty. on the occasion that i roll a joint, which is rare, i tend to try to achieve at least something of a smooth cone shape, either with or without a roach. the roach will help it hit better and cooler, generally, though theres little wrong with rolling without one if thats how you like it. the problem with it being twisted a bit at the mouth end, or just not being filled with something (ideally a roach or otherwise pot) is that it won't hit very well, and will often resinate heavily on a small amount of material and get gooey and gross, and leave resin stains on your lips and fingers, and the sticky nastiness will make your lips taste terrible. yours doesnt look like quite 2.5g to me, more like 1-1.5....but if its rolled really tightly and ground REALLY fine, it could be 2 g or so....you put it next to your finger, but then i dont know how big your hand is, so its not adequate to compare the smoke looks short but fat....so it may be bigger than a picture will do justice to. if you liked the joint and it got you high, and there were no complaints from anyone else smoking with you, than its alright! roll em how you like em....
-nesta -thank you, i dont know how credible your tips are but they seem well backed i know my hand wasnt the best comparison -but i wasnt thinking clearly --or too clearly and yes it did run a bit but it hit just fine
This one had about 1.7g, give or take, and it is about the same size as your's, unless you have gorilla hands or some shit. I know, the pic quality sucks. This one had 3g in it, and it may as well have been rolled by God, himself. Smoked like a champ. It's not a really good shot of it, but notice the girth of the cherry. More pics of it in my gallery.
in all honesty, i have rolled better j's while drunk. but im not saying that this is a bad joint at all. as long as you got high off of it, no ones complaining. but like nesta said, it doesnt look like it would burn or hit well. i tend to make mine opened at the end and really fat in the middle. but id smoke it
This guy's advice is sound. Hell, I don't even smoke a regular joint anymore without putting a bit of cardboard in the end of it now. Keeps the air flow going strong. Keeps you from getting gross lips and makes for nice passing. If I'm rolln' something that's a goodly weight I break out the blunt wraps as well. Very nice pics, TNS. Wish I could have been around to smoke that puppy!!
I like it, nice joint I still dont get why some ppl still roll joints without roaches then resort to roach clips to smoke them till then end, when all it takes to be able to get every last hit is putting a little piece of rolled cardboard as a mouthpiece....
hahahaha Dank you, kyndly. I was actually the only person smokin it, so you know I was nice and noodly when I was finished:spliff:
its a matter of taste. i prefer a roach because its easier for me to hold without burning my fingers and i prefer the hits i get from a joint with one....but i still dont smoke it all the way until theres no more weed to burn. regardless of how its rolled, a joint rarely tastes wonderful in my opinion, unlike with a bowl or vaporizer filled with good gear. but with a joint, you have a continously burning item which is constantly being fed oxygen and making it hotter...it can scorch and burn things before they are touched by any actual burning material. i would be surprised if a significant portion of the cannabinoids inhaled are actually from the unburned cannabis heated up by the burning part (vaporization without combustion) even with a roach i put out my joint before theres "nothing left" because i dont like smoking cardboard. if you even get the cherry close to the cardboard it instantly goes from tasting ok to tasting god awful, and with harsher smoke to boot. i can only imagine how nasty it would be to smoke it until theres nothing left but cardboard, paper, and resin with no weed..... not to say i waste the weed thats left...i throw it in a pipe....but the one benefit of NOT using a roach is being able to smoke virtually the entire joint without putting it out - if you have a good roach clip and lips impervious to flames....it may be hard to pass, taste lousy, stain your lips and make them taste bad, and it may burn you, but you wont be smoking cardboard. but like i said, i still usually use a roach. its just easier to handle and smoke for me, and as i also said i dont have the "smoke the whole fucking thing to the end" mentality. i have no problem saving some for a bowl. in fact i generally prefer it.
