Hello to my fellow growers, i PLANTED MY FIRST SEEDs about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ago. Out of the 3 seeds i planted 2 sprouted. they are about 3-4 in. tall, is this normal. I have two 25 watt flourescent tubes and an 18 watt soft white flourescent bulb. Do I have enough light or 2 much? The soil i used was miracle grow potting soil, I know its not the right soil but all i had at the time and im rather broke soooo. Will this soil do. Im not trying to produce super dank chronic although it would be nice, i just wanna have free weed to smoke with the homies. Finally, how long do i have to wait untill these plants are fully grown and ready for harvest. Thanx stoners, N3WBY TOke till you CHoke. PS. Still too early to tell im sure but im pretty sure there both femals because of the V shaped pistils im the center of the leaves.

Thanx for the advice, but i actually read alot on the net from books and guides but i dont have any pocket money and this is just stuff i found in the garage and i was wondering if it will do. the plants are growing so i guess they are working to an extent but the main thing i wanna know is how long i gotta wait. I know growing thakes alot of pacients and i will wait it out but i wanna have my own home grown bomb and i plan on taking the leaves and making ice hash. I want a time span. I was told six, four, and eight months. Im rather confused.
you can grow buds in four months if you start with clones ,or a genetically tailored strain. 6 months from seed, 8 months from seed for a longer budding strain.( or a more potent plant) You will need a better light, for just the two plants at least a 250 watt sodium high pressure. The light you have is good for starting them but you'll want a SHP when its time to bud them. keep the lights on 18-6 that is 18 hours daylight and 6 total dakness. Do not disturb dark periods- it can cause hermies. this is for the veg stage. turn it to 12/12 under a shp for budding- 6- 12 weeks depending on the strain.
Throw away the miricle grow soil and get Fox Farms Ocean Forest with 30% added perlite until you learn to make your own soil.Avoid chems,you will be alot happier with the outcome.Good luck
