I was just wondering if that book, originally written in Japanese, was ever translated into Enlgish?

I just got a copy in French, I hope it's good. Has anyone read it?

ryu murakami is awesome! so is his namesake, haruki. i've been desperately trying to find a copy of 1969 in english, but it's impossible. i've read "Almost transparent blue" and "Coin locker babies", and they are both ridiculous reads, particularly "almost transparent". i need to master my french skills so i can read 1969, because the english translation is nowhere to be found.
