I am trying to finance my next trip so I need to get rid of one of my buses. It is a 1966 vw bus. I am asking 1600 for it. It doesn't run right now but with a little time and effort you could have it running in no time. It needs lots of rust work. I live in Trenton, Illinois. Also has no keys. I have lots of pics so message me if you are interested. love&peace ryv
1600 and doent run no keys and rusted out? are u crazzzzy worth 100 bucks if u ask me i payed 200 for my westfila and she ran
These things are selling like hotcakes over here in the uk. Mint ones going for around £12,000 ($25,000). Even ones that dont run for £2,000 ($5,000).
i got my 67 ..running great..awesome psychodelic paintjob really in good condition, with keys and all..$500 but thats not to say 1600 isnt worthwhile if its not in too bad shape
"fair price" is not the same thing as "bargain" I've never paid more than 1200 for a vehicle myself and gotten some pretty sweet deals. But that doesn't mean the stuff wasn't worth more. seriously guys - why are you crapping up his forsale thread? If you think he's asking too much than don't buy it. (from vintagebus.com) What is my bus worth? In a nutshell: whatever you can get someone to pay for it. Bus prices range so greatly by model and condition and location, that its impossible to set any kind of baseline. For instance, a '67 kombi may only be worth $500 in rust-free California, where they are as common as fruitflies. The same bus could be worth $2500 in Minnesota, where nobody has every seen a rust-free bus. Other factors in value: body condition, mechanical conditon, originality, options, model. For example, a rusty '60 ambulance will fetch a much higher price than a '60 kombi. As an arbitrary rule, the "pecking order" seems to be 21/23 window deluxe, 15/13 window deluxe, standard, panel, kombi.
Ebay man, put it in the parts cars section and they dont ding ya for the $80 bucks. like for running autos. Thats how I sell my rigs that arent restored all the way.... it will only cost ya few bucks. Good luck
