The Duggars should be one of the most despised families in America. If your way of living is not viable and sustainable for every person on earth, then your way of living is WRONG and SELFISH! If every couple in the United States decided they were going to have 12-20 children, then the United States would be the poorest country on earth within 20 years. I'm talking severe poverty and starvation, people from Mozambique would be sponsoring starving American children out of pity. Even the poorest developing nations today have accepted that small sustainable families are necessary to increase quality of life and the length of peoples lives. The poorest African and Asian countries are now all striving for a two child per couple average, strategies that include education and birth control. The Duggar values don't seem too harmful being out of the ordinary in a population of millions. But if the Duggars were in a closed community of only a few hundred people, the toll and burden on the community would be clear. Their selfishness would be a detriment to everyone, for generations to come. Especially when we know that our human population boom is due to industrialization driven by finite fossil fuels. All I know is, the Josh guy molested his much younger sister, and he told his dad about it after the first time it happened, and his dad did NOTHING.
