Today is the 15th of March, 2017. I have noticed with interest the following news: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/14/business/monsanto-roundup-safety-lawsuit.html?_r=0 A few years back I met a fellow who once worked at Monsanto on Roundup. I asked him how he felt about all the sick people and the bee population crash and his response was "there is nothing harmful in the active ingredient whatsoever." When pressed he could not answer to the other so-called 'inactive' ingredients. Or could he quote any scientific research to back up his claims that it is indeed harmless. Reminded me of the fellows who once drank glasses of liquid DDT to prove it was safe for humans. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/14/technology/phone-hacking-sound-waves.html Bordering on the absurd side of life in these post-Blade Runner times... here is the news about researchers who "found a vulnerability that allows them to take control of or surreptitiously influence devices through the tiny accelerometers that are standard components in consumer products like smartphones, fitness monitors and even automobiles. https://theintercept.com/2017/03/14/edward-snowden-has-some-advice-for-donald-trump-about-surveillance/ Seems everyone is filled with advice these days. Even Ed Snowden! https://youtu.be/E4i3bAtEuJE And if you haven't seen it yet, do it quick before the link goes dead Snoop Dogg shares his political views. Lots of cannabis smoking. And of course, today is the Ides of March! What will befall Caesar next?
The election in the Netherlands saw the right-winger Geert Wilders defeated. A positive result for anyone concerned about the growth of the populist right in Europe. Pleased to see that the Greens did well too.
