Or alternatively, have you tried dressing up in your mum's clothes? Sometimes that can be at the root of men's "issues"
To address a couple of things... I am not a moderator here at hipforums, (said for the millionth time to people who keep repeating it). As for why is transgender under the gay section... asks those in charge... Regardless of that, this kid and this news story has nothign to do with being gay, being transgendered, or even cross dressing... This kid was not saying he can dress like a girl if he wanted to and felt comfortable... he was making a political statement of protest against dresscodes... THAT is why it should'nt be in this section. The fact that it was posted here, only shows that McLeodGanja has problems distinguishing between stereotypes and reality, which is really sad.
Its because of the LGBT. There are a lot of gay and transgender people who think that there should be no "t" in LGBT, as trans issues and sexual orientation issues are totally seperate, and shouldn't be connected as being similar. Though there are some people who think that because both groups of people are marginalised, misunderstood, and discriminated against by general society, that it's better to fight discrimination together than doing it seperately. Though I can understand this view, I also think trans issues being linked with gay issues by the existance of the LGBT, just perpetuates the false notion many people have, that homosexuality is somehow intrinsically linked with trans issues. Also, if memory serves me correctly, when I first joined Hip Forums, the transexual and transgender sub forums were part of the love and sex forums, or maybe it was the personal forums. And it was later moved to the gay section.
No offence meant, but did you read the article? It has absolutely nothing to do with homosexuality, cross-dressing, transexuality or transgender. It's not even a sexual issue.
No I just posted it blind... Go and argue with the admin then, they put the transgender forum in here, NOT ME. I have no time for any more of this pedantic nonsense. Boy dresses as girl = related to transgenderism NOTE THE EMPHASIS ON THE WORD RELATED!!! Pssshhhh, absolutely nothing to do with cross dressing, get a fucking grip.
I aksed a question... you turned it into a drama fest and a demonstration of your prejudicial views...
I have warned you once Tom in a PM to remove your comments. I am NOT prejudiced against trans-whatever people. If you don't I'll report you.
That's nice... I have a personal forum here, as any supporter of hipforums can have... and as such, it makes me a moderator in it... nowhere else... as has been explained... Of course, perhaps some people are just too stupid to understand a simple statement like, I am not a moderator here at hipforums...
I know GLEN but Tom isn't a mod. No, you're not understanding what people are saying to you. The problem isn't the transgender forum. The problem is that this story has absolutely nothing to do with transgender or sexuality. Don't get all huffy, just see what people are writing. No. You don't seem to understand what transgender is; There's no need to get offended or upset. You were wrong. It's not a big deal. Happens to everyone. And I'm not arguing. I'm just telling you the truth.
Report away, you are the one who posted a story about a boy dressing in a skirt to make a political statement about a dress code against him wearing shorts, in the gay sections... then you made arguments that if a boy is wearing a skirt, it is a gay/trandgender issue... those are incorrect statments. Nothing in that article in any way was about gender issues related to sexuality... It was about a kid who wanted to wear shorts, and was told he couldn't.
Duly reported and I'm done with this thread now. I'd like request that the next person with mod powers just closes it.
