My favorite holiday is almost here! For those who don't know, Día de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday meant to honor our loved ones who have passed away. Traditionally, an altar is made and adorned with a photo of the dead, and decorated with sugar skulls and flowers. So, let's make this thread our altar! Feel free to post a photo and share a memory or a thought of a loved one who has crossed to the other side. This is my dearest Bri who fell victim to leukemia this past June. My favorite memories of her are the summer afternoons we spent playing disc golf, and the evenings drinking coffee and talking for hours. I love you to the moon and back, my beautiful Bri. I miss you every day <3.
Sorry that you lost Bri, but glad that you had her in your life. I'm thinking that getting rid of anonymous thumbs-downing would be a good idea.
Thanks. I feel extremely fortunate to have known her, and privileged to call her friend. As far as the thumb downers:
Maybe kinda like the hf polls. Anonymous thumbs would be the default, but you could turn that off for a thread.
Come to think of it, the mods probably know who is doing the thumbs-downing. I think it is fair to say that thumbs down on certain threads, or doing it persistently is harassment/stalking. Against forum rules and grounds for a ban?
Good thread idea! I'd like to give a shot out to Melissa. She was my best friend for years, un till she was taken away by a car accident. Which is kinda Erie, because a year prior (during my first experience with MDMA) she told me that she had a vision that she was going to die in a car wreck.
I would absolutely agree with that. I agree. She was 28. Left behind 3 little girls and a husband. Oh wow, that's one heck of a premonition. I'll put out some good vibes in honor of Melissa at the celebration next weekend. ¡Gracias pájaro!
Good thread idea...I wish I could post pictures. I want to remember the 2 men that aren't my blood that I have loved in this life... I love you both...Jim and Tommy. ______________________________________________________ Sorry to hear of y'alls people, MAMA and LLTH RIP Lou Reed, a most talented man
R.I.P Colleen Ritzer, a teacher at Danvers High School in Massachusetts, was found dead early Wednesday. "She was an inspiration to me to live my life to the fullest every single day," said Caroline Rufo, Ritzer's college roommate, according to the Associated Press. She added: "There's going to be a void forever in our hearts. I don't know that anything can ever fill that." A law enforcement source told NBC News on Friday that Ritzer’s throat was slit from the back with a box-cutter in a second-floor bathroom at the school. Her body was wheeled out of the school in a recycling bin, dumped in the woods and covered with leaves, the source said. Philip Chism (14) a freshman, was charged and has been ordered held without bail. A surveillance camera caught the suspect following Ritzer into the bathroom and then leaving, covered in blood, the source said Hotwater
My brother. He went missing on Nov. 07, 2003 and was found dead on Dec. 08, 2003. Ten years and the pain is still sharp.
My very best friend. ...I've been trolled over her death too much to want to say much about her in here now, but Mama has heard her story.
