Is it bad to use felting needles? I had it done to the front part of my head and, yes that dreads feels different, but cant see what damage it...

Ok thanks =) Got my knottyboy order yesterday and washed my hair with the shampoo and put in the tightening gel, most of the the locks got tighter...
