styling cream? why would you need that for dreads...
dreadlocks have nothing to with skin color at all. the only advantage when it comes to race, is that some races have hair texture that locks up...
just forget about your hair and you will be amazed at how much progress it will make.
The only product that you really need is soap....some of those other products may help a little, but if you ask me, it is just a waste of money....

you need to realize dreadlocks take a long time to form...a year or more for most people before they actually start looking good.

honestly man, it doesn't matter when you wash em. i go swimming almost every single day and it makes no difference. you can do all the same things...
