the longer your hair the more it'll shrink, as there is more straight hair that needs to know up. from waist length you will lose alot of length....

You do realise tangles are the point go dreads right? it will be hard to separate, but as they get further along they'll section themselves better.

Just don't do anything. i did it and the best thing your can do is stop haha. all it did is make my dreads go kinky when that section grew out....
