I got my tongue pierced yesterday. Yay! I've been wanting to get it done for ages. It's healing very well. Not much swelling and barely any pain. There is one thing that concerns me, though. There is a sore spot on the gums under my tongue where the lower ball sits. I guess my tongue sits on top of it and presses on it. Is this normal? I'm worried about developing an ulcer or something if it keeps pressing on the same spot. It'll be three weeks before I can get the smaller bar. Will it go away then?

WELL....When you piercing heals go back and get the piercer to change your bottom bead to a smaller one as well as a smaller bar if you are that worried about it. But yes, it will go away if you get a smaller barbell. If its still pressing on your gums after the downsize, then the placement was wrong and you should take it out and let it heal and then get it re pierced by someone who knows what they are doing.

And im assuming you mean a hole in your gums and not an actual ulcer right?

If you look at the date, I posted this six weeks ago. It was fine as soon as the swelling went down.
