Lapu-lapu: Hero and Warrior-chief of Mactan

When Magellan and the Spanish first came to the Philippines (when it wasn't still known as the Philippines), he demanded that all the tribes pay tribute to the king of Spain. Lapu-lapu was the only chief who refused. He later led his people to a victorious battle against Magellan and the Spanish.
