But quick question for you folks out there ..

If you filled out an application lets say.. Saturday to .. lets say Pizza Hut.
And today it's let's say.. Monday

How long should or would it take them to call you ?

How do I know that I'm not going to get hired ?

Do I call back up there , to see if they have forgotten ?

If you dont hear back, you haven't been hired.

Simple.

You're going to have to put in more than one application (at different places) and hope somebody calls... I doubt you will get a job by just trying one place.

you could be contacted anywhere from the day you put in the application to a month later. you need to apply everywhere you can think of though. especially for an entry level position, putting in four applications is basically the equivalent of putting in no applications.

you can always call them too, although that's iffy. sometimes it will work in your favor, and sometimes it will piss them off.

not sure where you live, but i know for a fact that most pizza huts in northeast ohio aren't allowed to hire minors.

I live in Texas , you can basically work anywhere when you're 16.
and I only live in walking distance by four near-by places.
But when should I decide to call them , if necessary ?

i don't know, it pretty much depends on the manager what is likely to work. maybe around a week or so.

if they're all in walking distance, you might be better off just popping in again instead of calling.

make sure you use logic too; don't call pizza hut during dinner time for example because they won't have time for you and it will just annoy them.
