DMT in Reed Canary Grass.

In many countries also in the US and Europe, this sort of Grass grows, it is often planted as a feed for Cattle, goats,...
It has The Drug DMT in it, who knows more about extracting it from that grass?

The type of extraction you should use varies by the desired purity of your end product. You could do a polar/nonpolar extraction, a simple alcohol extraction, or even just extracting with an acid and gently heating to evaporate the liquid. The grass has the advantage of easy to grow and plentiful althooguh its disadvantage is that the DMT content is low in comparison tovarious other DMT containing plants.

erowid should have the info on which has the most dmt. the acid/base works on all alkaloids. if you follow the link there is a good guide on the extraction

I do believe certain acacia's have very high DMT concentrations in the root bark, however a readily available and potent alternative is 'mimosa hostilis root bark' aka Jurema. The traditiional ayahuasca DMT source is Psychotria viridis. Spiritgarden stocks both.

a good method for maxing out alkoloid content of phalaris grass is to stress it by cutting off the tops of the leaves about every two weeks or so. This is proven to take the alkoloid content up by up to 8X. Those other folk had good references on extractions I know erowid has a good one for sure, just simple acid/base procedures, you might have to defat it to depending.

yea, I would recommend defatting basically whatever you extract. Doesn't take that much time and it improves purity

There are improved strains of this plant available with higher alkaloid content. You could even grow a lawn in your backyard and extract your mowings!
It's a useful plant in that while the DMT content is quite low, it is easy to grow and the DMT exists with a minimum of similar undesirable alkaloids that are difficult to separate (arundo donax for example has lots of DMT plus other nasties as do the acacias). Crude Phalaris extracts are (apparently) smokeable without further processing.
Take a care though as DMT is very very powerful stuff and I'm sure the extract would be very illegal in whichever country you live !

I just found a very large field of wild reed canary grass growing by a river. Its not a domesticated strain gone wild, I know that for sure. what would the percent of dmt be?
And how can I get information on how to do a clean extraction? It seems all the sites are blocked except for lycaeum and erowod and their methods dont give a good clean result from what I'v read on the net. Oh and if anyone would like to trade for what have you, I'll trade roots which are still dormant.
