I haven't really listened to much of them, but they have my respect. Theyre from my town, and when they heard a local record store was in financial trouble MMJ came in and started having mini concerts right in the store to attract customers. They do a lot for this town. I should listen to more of their stuff.

that's pretty cool to save the record store like that

a member on here, guerillabedlam, thought a song i posted by Band of Horses sounded like MMJ. that was the first thing i heard about the band that made me actually go listen to them.

I like It Still Moves and Evil Urges the best.

I like band of horses as well, porkie. I'm not a fan of their newest album but their first two albums just get to me.

i just listened to Our Swords, so limited frame of reference.. but they don't do calm the shakes like MMJ does MMJ is just so confident and doin' their own thing.. so genuine and relaxing
