I don't care who you are, where your at, or even what terrible things you've done (or think you've done), You haven't lost, you just are lost.
So stop taking the weight of the world on your shoulders... relieve yourself in the knowledge that you are very small, your ego is just big... too big. Especially if you've found time to hate yourself and spend so much time stewing about it.
So, before you tattoo that big "L" on your forehead, you'll probably get over whatever's eating at you in a week, a month or even two years from now... the point is that you can bridge the gap and stop wasting your life waiting around for something to happen.
The point of this all? Life may be a game, but it really is true what they say "the real winners are the ones that have fun!". Fuck the big shiny trophy, I'd rather lose and have fun than win and be miserable!
