I fully agree, but having more than one person do it and mean it can also help a lot. For something this strong, I personally wouldn't be able to on my own.

Dont pay attention to it or talk to it. I can tell you from personal experience the more attention you give spirits (good or bad) the more active they get.
I had a lot of problems in my current house. My mom cleared it a few times then we ended up going to a friend of hers who has more experience and she finally got them to pass permanently.
I had 2 different ones after that, 1 of them I didnt like. My mom had told me to ask for protection and help from whatever my higher power is, fill myself with love and picture them going to the light. I didnt get the full experience my mom does (she sees what they look like, they talk to her etc) but the one I didn't like went away and hasn't come back.
Smudging with sage also seems to help. There is also a way you can put a protection bubble on people or things to prevent them from coming in or attaching onto you. Im not sure how to do that though..

Often spirits from lower levels, astral places, or higher awareness are looking for information, answers, closure, or healing to name a few reasons. Spirits only have the power you give them. They attach to our fears, fantasy, imaginings, and emotions and use these attachments to get what they are looking for. Because in most cases they still feel connected to this energy field {because they have not moved on} They can use us for, or against our selves. We give them the tools by our own beliefs. Do not confuse these with energy imprints, where often the truth acts like a negitive in a camera reversing the energy, and distorting our view. What ever behavior we assign to a spirit they will take on as if we desire them to. They play the role we assign to them in hopes the end result will gain the what they look for.

Just recently was working with spirits coming from a portal in the middle of a lake. What people were calling random haunting s around the lake was actually spirits from a town that was flooded to make the lake. They did not know how to move on because of the way they had died.

When working with uninvited guest 1. find out what they want. They are bound to tell you. 2. Do not unwittingly give them your power, because that is what feeds them. Your emotions can be a tool, or a weapon used against you as well as for you. 3. Come from a place of pure love, (not sexual) this will heal and direct them beyond this place. 4. Do not give in to the illusion they face you with. Often they use sickness, depression, and physical bindings because they know how to and what they are looking for is that important to them to use what ever means necessary to get the answers they seek.

If you are whole and trust-worthy within yourself, spirits will know this. You are only a victim if you accept that role. Without you they have no power, or connection. As one spirit told me, "i get so frustrated and throw things, this was my nature and I guess still is. All I want is to understand what dead means. When I lived in the flesh our church told us as believers we would go to heaven. When they had my funeral I felt stuck. I was seperate from my physical body but still being held onto by those that would not emotionally release me. I could not explain to them we create our own heavens and hells by the thoughts we entertain. I just want to go home and to heaven that was promised to me. I no longer know who, or what I am. So I will throw things until I get answers.

I explained to the spirit that when we are born on this side into the physical body we appear to die, enter a place of separation, or leave the other side where we reside as energy, essence, and awareness. When we come through the Akashic records we set up possibilities and experiences to help us grow beyond what we know. You see there are no consequences as Energy Beings, so we do not grow. (This is one reason spirits that we say haunt us, do not understand their actions the same way we do.) When we die here in the physical we return with this new growing and increased awareness back to where we once came from. Consequences have a way of imprinting lessons on our understandings. We then are born back into the worlds of energy we left to come here. In this way the all, collective awareness and the individual grows.

The spirit I was talking to listened and replied, "That makes sense." He left. Then his wife who lived in depression and grieving complained because her husband was gone and now she was alone. She wanted to know how to get him back.

The question then is who binds who and are we all ready to understand and see the whole journey. Several months passed and one day while mowing the lawn the Spirit Husband energy came through to confirm what I had said to him. He thanked me and before he left he smiled as if he were going to throw something at me and said, "Guess next life I should pay more attention to saving my self instead of trying to please others. I forgot what being true to my life path was about."

Then he was gone.

When we were dealing with the spirits in my house one of them told my mom he had been murdered (drowned in my pool) and his body dumped. He showed her where the body was. He was worried about his family, wanted them to know what happened to him. Gave her names of family members.
My mom tried to help him pass multiple times and he wouldn't go.
She went to a friend who told her NOT to communicate with them, that it encourages them to stay. My moms friend finally helped him along and I haven't seen him since.

Is it just two different schools of thought? Or is the key to communicating with them that you have to give them some kind of closure?

The goal of the communication is to cease the connection. You do this by answering their questions. Your mothers action feed the connection the more she tried to help. Sometimes you have to think like the spirit does not with the emotions.

Mediums are often looking for ways to help the greater good. When a medium gets lost in the WoW factor, "oh my God I can talk to Spirits" they feed the connection. When they come from a place of love its like fitting pieces of a puzzle together. Because spirits have no consequences they do not play by our rules.

Once as I was talking to this spirit of a young girl trapped in a basement she had hid in the wine seller and no one knew where she was and she died there, she acted like a spoiled brat wanting her way. She had always been able to manipulate people and was very demanding. I explained to her what had happened and visualized untying a knot that kept her tied to this world. She was mad but in the end had to leave. Her joy was in getting people upset and many people gave her what she wanted instead of laying down the rules.

So the key here is intent. Why is the medium doing what they are doing. What goal are they assisting. If we are not being true to our self spirits will stir up any emotional doubts and dust to get attention and what they want.

The christian way would seem to be to reach out, try to help your neighbor when they have a problem. Slogans wont do much for the OP, and if thats your only solution than you have quite a bit more reading to do

God bless you all. it's all over the Bible if you look. the funny part is though that people who weren't really Christians tried to cast out demons out of some one and got owned. You only have the power and authority if Christ is in you!!

after re-reading the original post, I would lean towards checking the EMF levels at your home... the symptoms you describe are much more toward that end of the spectrum than say, moving furniture, apparitions, disembodied screams or moans, missing items or spontaneous fires/floods. An unwelcome malevolent spirit would manifest itself in ways beyond a headache and prevailing negative feeling. Alot of the advice here has been for situations that include the latter symptoms more than the physical and emotional things pointed out.

Ive helped folks with ghosts and spirits before, from a little smudging with sage all the way to full blown banishment but the medicine has to fit the illness - until you see things moving around I think I would try to knock out some of the other probable causes before putting a ton of effort into the less likely poltergeist removal!


Im not one to think that if there is a spirit that it has to leave.... I still say a little communication can go a long ways toward making even an unwelcome spirit calm down. Often a spirit can be active simply as an effort to make its presence known, and often can be unaware as to how much it can upset us living folks! Talk to it, set ground rules, let it know you are aware of its presence but dont want it to interfere with your daily life.


Just having a spirit isnt always a bad thing, and I dont agree that communication is "to close the connection" at all! Honestly, until you can fully establish that you are dealing with a meanie (which is pretty rare) I think its rash to start in on spellcasting and exorcisms and the like. The lions share of earthbound spirits are just confused and attached to a place or thing from their past. Treating them as meanies before knowing what they are can add to confusion and aggression from otherwise peaceful but confused ghosties.


Also, not all spirits tell the truth, nor are they "bound to tell you" anything. They will often tell folks things, but truth only comes to those who they respect and earn trust from. Spirits we encounter were often human, and as such, often have human characteristics - sadly the ability to lie is one of them.


Other hints I can offer for dealing with spirits - sea salt is traditional for purify/protection, as is garlic. It doesnt take alot, but it is great for driving off negativity, spirits and all kinds of things! Water is also used to purify the home, and ghosts are said to not be able to cross water, salt, or train tracks.

There's also the phenomenon of residual emotions. If a certain powerful emotional mindset is present in someone for too long, that emotion can imprint itself on that person's home, jewelry, or whatever the person kept close. When the objects are passed on, that emotion sticks to them. There is a kind of ghost that is nothing more than a powerful emotional event imprinted on a building and replaying itself like a tape over and over. There's no entity there, just the recording of the event. Many tragic demise ghosts are this.

It sounds like this might be what's going on, if it's not EMF. Always rule out ALL physical possibilities before considering the supernatural. You may want to check out the carbon monoxide levels, too. Lighting and furniture arrangement can affect people's moods, as can clutter.

If everything else has been ruled out, deep-clean your home top-to-bottom. Organize, scrub, repaint, whatever. Wipe down the walls and shampoo the carpets. Get it all. Then burn sandalwood incense or some other cleanser so thick that the smell inundates everything in the house. After that's cleared, your house should be okay, but you'll still need to take care of yourselves to keep it from coming back. You've been steeping in this for a couple of years now, and the brain does rewire itself to tend towards whatever it thinks about often. This may be that feeling of something taking control. Take hot soaky baths in salt water, and some nicely scented goodies. Bubble baths do wonders. Meditate as often as you can on loving, happy thoughts to rewire your brain back to a peaceful state.

You can up the nice vibes in your house with houseplants. Ivy, spider plants, and the like perk things up nicely and are natural air fresheners. Grow mint on windowsills to supercharge it, or basil. Get exercise; an hour of hard cardio does more than medicine will for depression, and it's good for you.
