Digging up Dead Threads

Ugggh I get so annoyed and frustrated when people respond to threads that haven't had a response in like 2 years. It's frustrating because half the time the topics are really interesting, it's just the OP has obviously moved on from the current situation/scenario they were writing about and these people who resurrect these threads usually post in response to someone else's idea that was still a significant amount of time back, and they resurrect the threads with something that is usually off topic from the original thread. This is just a rant but it's somewhat of a letdown when I see this.

sometimes i like a good resurrected thread.

occasionally it's acceptable, but in general i agree.

the worst is when they bring back a several-years-dead thread just to post "lol" or a smiley.

also its referred to as "necroposting"...not "resurrection"

i stumbled across one the other day i brought back up about smoking hydrocodone... my poster simply stated how i couldnt believe i stumbled across something so stupid... i couldnt resist
