Looking to go flatting....advice?
Well, Ive just about had enough of living with my parents, there great and everything and theve supported me my whole life, but I really want to be independent.
I dont have any friends so id be looking to flat with randoms, but thats cool because I want to meet new people.
Heres where it gets tricky. So I smoke pot every few days or so, but im just a bit anxious about living with people Ive never met before.
I feel I should be honest and tell them before hand that im a smoker, but I dont want them to get the wrong impression (im very sensible, hardworking, dont drink alcohol etc)
I dont mind smoking outside or away from the house, but I dont want to be in a situation where I find myself with people who are anti-drugs.
Any stoners here had any success living wiht people theyve never met before?, any advice about searching for flats?

Just ask if they are open to you occasionally toking. That's the only way you're going to find out if they're anti-drugs.
Don't be such a prude and ask. They're random people, so you won't be hurting anyone's feelings. And if they're anti-drugs and snobby - thank god you won't be living with them.

True, perhaps I am being a little paranoid.
I guess, its not just the weed though. I like to take mushrooms and lsd from time to time, but I guess if they are ok with weed, they will be ok with psychs.
It would be nice to be with like minded people though.
I have heard of Codenames like 'Dak friendly' or '420 friendly', But I have not yet come across such hint in my searches.

So true. They don't give a fuck about anything. Thats why it is important not to sign a lease with anyone.
Get in on a month to month rental till you can find your own place.

living alone is the best by far.
even living with best friends gets stressful and difficult.
living with randoms is fun and a good experience as long as you don't have a long lease agreement and you can leave when stuff gets bad.

that's probably the best advice yet - don't sign a lease with strangers
but yea, you'll just have to ask if they care if you smoke a little weed. tell em that you can keep it in your room and be respectful if they don't smoke.

Signing a lease with anyone, friends and girlfriends included, is not a smart idea.

i think my gf was just added onto my lease. so technically i'm the only one on it. probably the smart thing to do, but i don't have any doubt that she'll continue living here with me.
