You can do it all by yourself, you know.

well i know but, i think i would rather have them done. my mom isn't too thrilled with the idea of me getting them. and i'm hoping that if i can find someone who knows what they are doing, it may help convince her... she kinda on the edge bout it haha

Thanks

At first- My ma wouldn't let me get dreadlocks unless they were professionally done.
I convinced her that that wasn't a great idea for me, because I much prefer the look of messy dreads, and we didn't have the cash for that,
and I am very picky.

I'm sure you could get a friend or two, or even your ma or whoever, to start your dreads for you. Just get educated on the method you wish to use, and go from there.

ok thanks , i've been looking at all the different methods and stuff, but it's probab;y a good idea to keep doing research and keep talking to my mum bout it, haha. it would still be cool to talk to someone in person who has dreads and get some advice and have them help me with local places to purchase the neccesities though.

You have a whole forum full of peeps to give you all the advice you fancy.
Given, the lot of us aren't so helpful and over opinionated,
but you get a general idea.
Just search this forum time and time again, you will learn bundles.
