hmmm what is the motivation?

There was a documentary about 9/11 on tv the other night. at first i thought that it was simply a rememberance because it is getting close to september 11 again. but then i saw a commercial wanting votes for bush. its this a coincidence? i don't think it is, i think bush wants to get americans pissed about what happened so that they will not be soo mad at him for going into iraq and doing whatever he did that they didn't like.

Anyway , you did not say what point of view the documentary was giveing ???
Their are a few documentaries out now ... Did it make the president look 'clean' i guess it did or you would not have posted this thread..i guess

I am going to have to stick with what i thought earlier ... its just a coincidence.... it probably has more to do with the network thinking it is clever , than the goverment plotting away.

in the documentary they interviewed survivors, or people left behind (like their spouse was killed in it)
they showed how just by being one floor up that they were doomed, how they all just huddled in offices hiding from the fire, waiting for the firemen to rescue them, how they never were rescued. they interviewed a woman that was on the phone with her husband, he told her that he thought a bomb went off and he was gonna call her back, he did call her back and told her what happened and that he loved her (with a shaky voice) then the phone went dead...
it got me pissed off at the whole thing, not necessarily just at the terorists, but i was mad. Imagine how others watching that felt.... ohhh..... lets get them for doing this to our country!!!!! I'm glad bush went in there and did all that stuff!!!! yeah!!!!

Someone somewere had the choice to say NO ... maybe putting that advert out at that time is not the best thing to do.

Whoever said YES obviously took no ones feelings into consideration.. If you wrote a letter too the network or the presidential office.. i am sure some low ranking person would be shouldered with the 'blame'. I am sure they would respond with a myriad of diffrent reasons why that advert was broadcast then. None of their excuses matter , i think it would have been easier just to say 'feelings may be hurt , lets not'

I doubt it was a orchestrated plot or anything (still).... just realy bad decision makeing.

Strategic advertising, that's all it is. I doubt Kerry runs ads during NASCAR events, and Bush wouldn't waste his money advertising on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Bush ads on a 9/11 documentary is to be expected.
