How long should a trip last?

Ok, so I took some acid the other day, took it bout 13.00 came up bout 30 mins later, starting tripping a little bit for bout 2 hours, then it absolutely wiped the floor with the me, I was off in another world, completely out of it till bout 7.00. My trip seemed to finish and then that was it, literally I was completely back to normal, one minute out of it the next absolutely fine. So that would be 5.5 hours. Do you think I actually took acid or something else. The experience was certainly like nothing I have ever felt or could have even imagined.

well, i had an intense (+++++) out-of-body experience from six very strong blotters recently, and after returning to my body after 5-6 hours, it was like waking from a dream and I no longer felt any of the acid's effects.

Sometimes I think I'm done tripping about 5-6 hours in. But, then I rip a bong, and I'm tripping balls again.

Usually I have enough of a hold on my trip that I can drive about 4-5 hours after I take it (if I've taken a small enough dose)
