Grapefruit Juice + Valium

Hey what do u guys think about drinking some White Grapefruit Juice before eatin some valiums? im just wondering cuz i picked up a few valiums tonight and i always drink the white grapefruit juice with it cuz theres scientific data showing that grapefruit juice inhibits some enzyme in ur liver that breaks down valium thus making the valium stay in ur system longer and higher peak plasma levels....im not too sure how well the grapefruit juice potentiates the valiums but i do it anyways just incase...so has anyone else expermented with this combo Grapefruit Juice + Valium?

I tried it and noticed minimal increase of effects.

I have also heard that White Grapefruit Juice can lower your tolerance to opiates if you drink a glass of it like 30mins before taking your opiates...The Dr.'s have not confirmed this but many junkies say that it definatly works..
But while i was doing research they also say the Grapefruit Juice works for other benzo's too like xanax, ativan, kolonopins, ect.. I tried it last night with some xanax+OC combo and it seemed to maybe potentiate the high by about 10%-15% but then again it could of just been a placebo...

Its worth a try. If any of you take or have any benzo's like Xanax or Valium go ahead and try it and tell us what u think... Also try it with ur opiates and let us know... just make sure you get the WHITE Grapefruit Juice, and make sure its 100% grapefruit juice and not that ruby red bullshit that has a bunch of other fruit juices it..

is it because grapefruits have vitamin C? because ive heard that it increases absorbtion in the stomach. people take large amounts of vitamin c before ingesting psychedelics.

Diazepam (Valium)

Eight healthy subjects were given diazepam 5mg orally with either 250 mL water or grapefruit juice. The mean AUC of diazepam was increased 3.2-fold and the peak concentration was increased 1.5-fold by the grapefruit juice. Grapefruit juice postponed the time to reach peak concentration of diazepam from 1.5 hours to 2.1 hours.
