When it comes to clothes how important are other people opinions?

if i like it, i wear it..

if you compliment me, yay! if you insult me, nay!

I dress comfortable for me. What other people think about my clothes or me is none of my business.

i wear what i want to wear and i dont really care what people think, but i think i have pretty decent taste, if i do say so myself

I trust my own opinion the best. I rarely EVER ask for someone else's opinion on the clothes I'm about to buy...unless it's something dressy for an event or special occasion. I may ask for some input/feedback on that.

My cousin is extremely stuck up, and at my grandmother's funeral she was bitching to me about how some people were wearing jeans (we come from poor roots, I am just glad these people came, I don't care what they were wearing),,,meanwhile, she is saying this to me and I was wearing a denim skirt that I had made.

not worth a dam! i have very strong personal feelings of aesthetics. of what i enjoy things looking like. those and utilitarian considerations like durability and cost are the entire basis of my personal choice in the matter. limited additionally by what is available at all. though a bit less so because of what i can do to modify them a little closer to what i prefer.

about the only place the aesthetics and opinions come into what i wear is to avoid the potential difficulties that might come of offending anyone, although no matter what anyone does, someone will, but there is such a thing as probability and that's where that comes into it.

of course the statistical consensus of other people's aesthetics determines what there's a market for and thus what gets produced and thus what becomes available. all of which much to my less then pleasure. and contrary to my personal specifics of taste.

ppl's comments in the streets or bewildered gaze really irritate me
