Default mixing perscrips

hey everybody, i'm and honors student and i'm going through a lot of really tough times right now. I really need to be calm, focused, happy, and able to just put things out of my mind. I need to be able to retain a B average in my classes. I have a prescription for 60 mg of Celexa, an SSRI, but i have access to adderall, prozac and weed(never tried it, but i can get some if i want). If there is any combo anyone recommends, or that i defiantly shouldn't do, please tell me. this is only going to be for a relatively short period of time, until all of this shit passes over. I go to the gym everyday, but the runners high just doesn’t last, this is sort of a last resort. I'm also on metabo-life complete, and i take a lot of tums, thanks for suggestions.

Do you just wanna chill or what i mean are you stressed? if so i would say relax and smoke some weed and see if you like it personally I love to smoke before bed or if im stressed out. If you wanna keep your average up just take some adderall before school you will be super excited to learn and will do well...thats from personal exp.

Weed is not going to help you maintain a B average. 60mg of Celexa is a large dose, don't take Prozac with it. Rarely, but sometimes people have horrible hallucinations when combining an SSRI with weed. Be careful, know your body. I am not specifically recommending Adderall, but there is no major drug interaction, a small possibility of "serotonin syndrome." If you try it, start with smaller doses, see how it does. 10 to 20mg per day should do it.

It sounds like you have overextended yourself. Quit something. None of this, including your grades, is worth your health. This type of stress eats at you, and long term may cause ulcers, fibromyalgia, or chronic fatigue syndrome.
good luck

I think i already have fatigue syndrome, i get chronic sinus infections, when i get upset (as i am now) i can't eat, and if i do i just throw it back up. School isn't the thing thats stressing me out, its my ex boyfriend. He was emotionally abusive for 2 years, cheated on me, dumped me, and his new girfriend (who he cheated on me with) is a huge bitch, shes fake and they both just disgust me. I was fine over the summer, but now that i'm back inschool with them, i've gotten a lot worse, i spent all of fourth hour in the bathroom, while my stomach was trying to get me to throw up somethign, even though i hadn't eaten since 6 that morning. I'm normally a really mellow person, and i try not to judge anyone, and i don't really hate anyone, except for my ex BF and his GF. It's my senior year, i just need something to just, make thigns better ya know? Should i just ask my doc for more meds? Or try the adderall and see how it goes?

Wow, I feel for you. Without going into detail, I understand long term, intese, emotional stress. It takes a huge toll on your body. You have to try to realize why you are having these physical symptoms, while you are having them. Does that make sense? You have to take control over your feelings. You control them, not your ex-boyfriend, etc. It is much easier said than done. Talk to your doc. Adderall might help, but it might make you more anxious. After years of trial, I have ended up on Paxil, Wellbutrin, and Adderall. The meds are a great help, but they are not a miracle. You still have to do the work. The meds just help you see things more clearly. Does that make any sense? Also, take a multi-vitamin and a B-complex 50 vitamin. Stress depletes many vitamins, especially vitamin B6, which effects mood & response to stress. Don't get just plain B6 though. B vitamins work best when they are all present. 500mg of Vitamin C, and 500mg of calcium wouldn't hurt either. Take the calcium 2 to 3 times a day. New research suggest calcium can be very calming.
Anyway, best of luck to you . I hope this helps. Please post any other questions. Don't worry about whining.

i understand what your saying, but, i admit, i haven't quite conquered that mind over body thing! i'll try the vitamens, my mother likes to give me random pills, maybe now that i know what i'm taking i'll actaully take it. today was our first day back, maybe thigns will get better as the year goes on. now is just a low point, my dads an alcholic, my moms a work-acholic, i don't have any siblings, my best friend just got a boyfriend, so our time is cut in half, and the friend i used to just sit and talk to about my problems for hours with is in basic training for the army right now, the school messed my entire schedule up, my assistant editor for broadcast journalism keeps disapearign when we need to get things done to teach the class, i'm desperatly trying to finish 3 logs on a book i hate for honors english, due tomarrow, and now, 2 of my best friends, who were dating, and had a nasty break up ( he dumped her so he could smoke pot with out upsetting her) and the three of us are in the same math class with a teacher from hell, and we all sit together, but i'm in the middle, cut the tension with a knife, etc. I have to take orchestra this year, my conductors an ass, the counseler won't belive me that newspaper counts as a computer credit (that should get cleared up soon though) my room is a mess i don't have tme to clean, my internet connection keeps dying, and i'm the only one who can fix it, i had yogurt for dinner because my dad was to sloshed ot fix anythign edible(and an apple for lunch, because my mom thinks i'm fat, which i didn't eat until 4:00 anyway, and i had a peice of low-carb toast for breakfast) , i've slept 3 hours in three days and i lost a contact. This just hasn't been my week. i don't htink i'll try adderall unless i just get totally freaked, or have a breakdown, or both, which, i imagine, is coming up here fairly soon. i think i'm going to make an appt to see my doc too if this doesn't just stop soon. I used ot be on paxil, maybe i'll go back, it was definatly stronger than celexa. How has your experiance been with it?

I have known several people who smoke ALOT, and maintained great grades. I don't think, however, that weed helped them. I think it was despite smoking weed. I also think that you, and others like you, are the exception and not the rule.

You seem exremely stressed, as well as having somatic (body) symptoms as well. This REALLY needs to be handled by a doctor (preferably a psychiatrist who knows pharmacology well) rather than taking random pills as each symptoms arrives.

DO NOT mix two different antidepressants. Serotinin Overload is awful. Only a good doctor (a psych or a neurologist, NOT a pediatrician or an Internist) can determine which meds would best suit your needs, and therapy is ESSENCIAL in situations like yours. The pillls alone won't cure it all. It ISN'T "Mind over matter" but a matter of the mind and body working together. You can't talk yourself out of your somatic symptoms anymore than someone can talk themselves out of a broken leg.

I can't imagine weed would be the best thing for you right now, MANY people with chronic anxiety have even worse anxiety, especially if they haven't used weed before. Let your prescription meds work without interference. Don't self prescribe for the problems you are having.

See a good professional, get some good long term therapy, it is really what you DESERVE!
