OXY's...Keeping the high going...

I have access to 40 mg oxycontin once a month, any little secrets to keep the high going longer to avoid running out in a week? I usually snort half a pill at a time.

The sooner you run out the better, if you have a constant supply of the stuff you'll surely become addicted to em. Opiates are a nasty thing to get caught up in.

She get's a script for 3 herniated discs, depends on her pain, how many she gives me. When I run out, I have one down day, usually falls on the weekend, then I'm fine.

to make it last longer, DO NOT SNORT it. Swallow the tablet whole. You are breaking up the time released coating. It will last much, much longer if you just leave it alone. If your wife needs these, you should't take them from her. Stealing peoples med sucks. I used to have to hide my Rx's or my mom & sister would steal them.

(BTW- I don't know the situation, not trying to pass judgement. You may not be stealing them at all. I was just going off the last post)

taking the time release pill all at once will not give any recreational value if that is what you are looking for. and dont mix any drugs to get a longer effect. if i were you i stop using why your ahead. ive seen it fuck up alot of people, opiates are crazy drugs, and if you dont use them right youll get fucked

I disagree. Maybe not what you are used to getting, but still a definate high. If you took two Percocet 5mg every 4 hours, you would still get more oxycodone if you took one 40mg Oxycontin every 12 hours. I know two every 4 hours is not a huge dose, but you can see what I am saying. If you are accustomed to snorting 40mg, try taking 80mg whole, or something like that. I do agree, however, that you are better off stopping while ahead. I see so many opiate addicts at my pharmacy. It is sad...

I see where you are coming from, but you know as well I that anyone who is seeking oxy for recreational use is not going to take only 10mgs worth of oxy every two hours and call it a "high". Opiate users are always looking for more intense and longer highs, that is where the dependence and tolerance comes into play. you are right though, in the fact that there are so many opium addicts and abusers. and the thing about Rxs is that its not the lowlife or depressed anymore, its the soccor moms and suberban families its effecting. it is sad, very sad.

P.S. i find your posts very informative, i wish there were more responsible people like yourself posting on this forum.

Photo, I would never steal from my wife, I just take what she gives me. I usually do it on the weekends because I am a nursing student and its morally and ethically irresponsible to be on it when I'm around patients. I would consider myself a low key recreational user, because there have been months when my wife couldn't give me any because her pain was so bad. Psycho, I appreciate where your coming from about abusers and addicts. Taking any drug for recreational purposes is abusing it, and I'm not denying that I don't need it. But I am careful not to take it too far, like I said, only on the weekends, and only if my wife "gives" them to me.

Psycho, you are RIGHT about that. Those are the people that scare me. Addicts that go doctor shopping, and they are in complete denial about being addicts. They think they are just taking medicine, and its good for them. They wreak havok on their families. At least a family of an active, aware addict can discuss it (some) with the person, and they can sort of prepare. (They still wreak havok, it just seems more devastating to the former families.

OXY, I hope I didn't offend. I have nothing against responsible, "low key" abusers. Just be careful. No one ever intends to be an addict.
