any particular way you should snort something?

i snorted morphine the other day and it sucked. didnt do anything but give me an awful drip for an hour. I had done opiates previously so i knew what i was expecting.

Im assuming i snorted it wrong?? Im not sure, just wondering if theyres any technique to snorting sort of like there is to smoking.

I used to be horribly addicted to pain pills; morphine, oxycontin, roxicet, etc. My preferred method of injestion was always snorting, and I got pretty damn good at it. All the tools you need for a quick "bump" is some type of card, a dollar, and a completely flat surface. First, considering you have a basic compressed powder pill, check if it has time release on it. Time release, along with being annoying in the slowing of the onset, burns the hell out of your nose. Simply suck off the coating until you taste the "pharm" of the pill, the powder starting to come off. Next decide how much you are going to do. Most of the major pills; morphine, roxicet, and especially oxycontin, have a terrible habit of being far more than one insufflation dose. You should probably do it with someone who knows what they are doing the first time so you don't do too much. (Some pills because of the time release have so much of the chemical in them that if taken all at once can lead to sickness or even overdose) Morphine, typically comes in 10, 30, 60, or 100mg pills (at least where I come from). I usually started with 15mgs per dose, not a whole lot but enough to let the pill last you more than one hour. Break off (either with your fingers or with a razor blade) the desired amount of the pill which you want to snort and place the rest out of the way. Put the pill on a flat surface (completely flat, no woodgrain or tiny cracks), the back of toilets, CD cases, and best of all mirrors. Take a card and place it over the pill slowly increasing pressure until it cracks. This is by far the most tricky part, compressed pills have a tendancy to explode and if you are not careful will jump right onto the floor. I learned to avoid this by very slowly applying pressure, never crushing with sudden movements, and a slight hand roll back and forth when pressing down. This should cause the pill to crack into smaller pieces. After the first crack, considering how compressed the pill is, it should be in a number of tiny, yet still rocky, pieces. Again put the card on the pill and press down. This time when the card is firmly pressed on the pill scoot it over the pieces as if sanding something with sand paper, but much, much softer and slower. Repeat this until all pieces appear to be powder. Scrape off what has stuck to the card (I usually do this with another card, because some substances try to stick to your fingers). Use the edge of the card to scrape the powder into a line. Roll your dollar or other "shooter" and snort the line. I always blow my nose and clean out my nostrils before snorting. The breath itself is important as well. A simple breath, I feel, does not inhale the powder deep enough and sometimes shoots out of your nose upon your next exhale. Breathe using your throat, opening up the nostrils. Don't inhale all in a quick bursted gust though, it should take about the same time as a normal breath.

I found a sweet pill crusher and then put it all on a compact case mirror. Use a straght edge razor to crush up the rocks too. A straw cut to about 4 inches works well for snorting too.
I have a kit like this but make sure you keep it very clean too if your busted it is not kool having trace opiates on any of the tools.
