Default pretty pink poppies

I have about 20 plants in my backyard now that have fully bloomed and dropped the pedals...now there are a bunch of fairly decent sized pods forming....when they get big I prick them and a very small amount of white liquid oozes out. I barely get enough of the white stuff to cover the tip of a knife and after the first few prickings it stops, and the pod falls off...I don't get anywhere near even a tenth of a gram from each pod before it falls....did I by some non opium producing poppies?
