Types of Weed in Amsterdam

I will be going to Amsterdam in just over a week for the first time. After reading extensive reviews and so forth, I've decided on a few must trys. I would really like to know which weeds are better for getting HIGH, and which are BETTER for getting STONED out of your mind. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also if you have any rec. for weed to try, please let me know, and if possible what coffeeshop to find it at.

Here is a list of coffeeshops that I intend on not missing:
Barnies, Homegrown Fantasy, Basjoe, De Dampkring, Grey Area, De Rokerji, and Katsu.

Well if i recall correctly Sativas are for nice uplifting highs and indicas are good kock out blow

exactly....just ask the shops for there best sativa when you want to get HIGH and best indica when u want to be stoned.

haze is the best sativa...along with its many crosses

haze's are uplifting in general, super silver haze is particularly nice.

Barney's and de Dampkring sell very nice weeds indeed!

add abraxas, the noon, the bushdoctor and bluebird to your list of shops to visit.........

Don't forget Amnesia!

Well Whitewidow is the standart, every shop has that, some might give it other names to come across a unique, mostly bull though.

White widows is always good, if you're in doubt.
Other good types i like are Sputnick, or snowwhite (lot is THC)

but the best thing around if ya ask me is Dutch Passion, that will blow you away, i've beengetting that for the past 4 years, it's really powerfull stuff

I've just got back from Amsterdam myself
Amnesia is a great place, very comfortable and cosy with padded seats,
fairly rare in most coffeeshops. Worth visiting, imo, both for the menu and
ambiance.

Unfortunately the Caramello from Home Grown Fantasy was too weak for my
taste buds, very light smoke. I found the Super Silver Haze from De Kuil
more my type of buzz, quite spacey and rushy, and you gotta love the
stoned cat there, infact I noticed there's a big increase in stoned cats in
coffeeshops all round on this trip, LOL
Area 51, Grey Area Ice Crystals is worth a buy and for those of you who have
never tried it, it's nothing but dust. Very fruity tasting and you don't need to
use much of it either. Oh, it's also easy to hide, wink wink. Greenhouse White
Widow is another great smoke and it's also available in loads of other places
too, but my advice to get blitzed and spaced out is to get any good top weed
in bud form, make a joint as normal then add a nice good sprinkle of Ice
Crystals on top, hey presto, you'll be flying for hours.

I bought loads of grass from loads of other places and it's all good stuff up
to a certain point. Some places have fresher stuff some will try and load off
their old deals before showing you their best weed. It can sometimes take
a while to get the right stuff in more ways than one.

Never make plans before going to Amsterdam, they always tend to fall apart.

i must beg to differ......sometimes plans that see fruition are the ONLY WAY to get to amsterdam! Big ups to mikeymike!
