Weird sexual past?

One of my close friends recently revealed a strange (to me) sexual past, and I was just wondering how common this is... So she started masturbating at like 7, and until she was about 11 or 12, was getting the boys (and girls) to put their hands down her pants and touch her. Not in an attempt at orgasm I guess, but just pleasure? I dunno. But she hasn't had sex, which seems like an odd thing, given that history. So I grew up in a completely different environment, so I didn't even think it was possible at 7. Have any of you had similar really-young experiences like that? Do you think it's affected your mature sexuality?

poking at your body at 7 years old is perfectly ok. and no matter how much you masturbate, it doesn't factor into whether or not your a virgin - masturbation is about orgasms, not about intercourse.

Wow, why would she tell you that!? lol...Jus seems like somethin that didnt need to be said to me. I suppose all children get curious at different ages(although i agree, 7 seems really young)...But then i always believe we were very different little people as children. Childhoods just a development period, waiting and preparing to be an adult. As long as she has healthy views on sexuality now, i dont see a problem.

I've told my close friends regarding my own sexual past, and I believe that came out of our deepened emotional bonds. It just felt natural to me to talk about it with them, and I even think it was necessary, at least for me.

As for your friend, Freaker, I don't think her past is weird at all. I'd say that's a healthy sexual past.

Sounds like a normal past to me, from what I have read and the folks to whom I have talked. My wife says she has been masturbating as long as she can remember.

I think alot of us have histories like that. I know I did and some of my firnds and even my sister did. So I dont think its weird or unnatural.

I think we all have a long history of self discovery. I remember being as young as 5 or 6 when i realised that it felt nice to press things against my crotch. oh and that i had a serious fetish with suspenders.

I was so interested in sex and boys after that... I didn't end up losing my virginity till I was 14 but was masterbating quite young and thinking about women in a sexual way very very young.

I knew how it all worked by the time I was 3, and was able to get erections by then as well. I'd touch myself but I never masturbated until I was 18.
