For me... hmm, I guess Three Men in a Boat and Three Men on the Bummel by Jerome K. Jerome, basically anything by Gerald Durrell, Little Nicholas by Goscinny and The Devil's Dictionary by Ambrose Bierce.

I only really like the first two...I thought after that they started to go a bit downhill. Good...but not *as* good

I would have to say that CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN is probably the funniest book I have read.

Kurt Vonnegut - Slaughterhouse 5 or Breakfast of Champions or Cat's Cradle they are all hallarious, and serious at the same time. Vonnegut is awsome!

Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas (Much better than the film)
Catch-22
Scanner Darkly by Philip K Dick (quite a serious and sad book but has some hilarious moments in it).

Rayuela by Julio Cortázar is the one book that satisfies me in every possible way. Loud laughters all the time.
