Hey gang, I pierced my own septum yesterday. I had been wanting it for a while, and i started reading up on it a few days ago. I went on ebay and bought an autoclaved 14g needle, but i was impatient so i did it before the needle arrived. I used a brand new nail. I cleaned and 'sterilized' it the best i could, using rubbing alcohol as well as fire. Other than that part and some minor technical difficulties it went pretty well.
What i am posting for is because 1 or 2 people told me that i pierced it in the wrong spot. I found the "Sweet spot" and it came out straight and all. I pierced it almost exactly in the middle of my nose. The 2 people who told me i did it wrong said it was supposed to go near the top of your nose.
Does this really matter at all? I can take a picture if necessary, thanks.
