The woman in my head doesn't control me, Rolling. I owe my allegiance to you, and you alone, my liege.
The women (plural) in my head helped me find out some things about my wife that I needed to know. I would have figured it out eventually, but my mental girlfriends def sped up the process. Also of course they were torturing my wife at the same time they were torturing me.
You don't really know yourself until you've been tortured. But I guess you know something about that, don't you.
Likewise, you don't really know someone until you've tortured them.
