It's Richard Dawkins talking crap about religion, I'm guessing it's the video version of his book "The God Delusion" - I only watched a couple minutes, but I've read the book.

He has some really good points, and I agree with a lot of what he says, but he has a tendency to be a dick about how he makes his points.

Also I think money is the root of evil, not religion. Although organized religion is certainly not good for humanity at large.

People are the root of all evil, not money nor religion.

Yup. Right here. Money and religion are just tools.

I think "faith" is the culprit, with religion being the most common result. But that's basically what Dawkins is saying. Learning to believe in things for no reason is learning to damage your mind.

Doesn't that depend on what you are learning from it.

Thanks. He's right, but does he really need an hour and a half to say that?

Not really, the point is that faith is believing something to the point where you accept it as fact - but it is just belief, not fact.

I'm not sure that is exactly what faith is or how I would define it. It always remains a belief but it is more like hope in something higher/righteous or belief in a certain value or afterlife etc. and not accepting things as fact. Although it is perhaps done by certain religious people (dogma's etc.)
