i've never really payed much attention to signs, but i wanna learn one step at a time. So what does cancer mean? (it's my sign) maybe someone can shine some light on my ignorance..

well, so far i've spent my entire life with two cancers, basicly my mom and pa


there both cancers, i think it depends on the signs each sign will have a diffrent view.

but from my perspective easily hurt, but with forever and longlasting love, i'm a gemini and well if you read a lot, it hard for gems not to hurt cancers.

but they will have ever lasting love, so now matter how much you hurt them as long as they love you they will love you regardless.

im a cancer too. apparently we're homebodies... we prefer to be close to home at all times.... that's true for me at least.... but just remember that "home" isn't necessarily the place u were born. it's also a water sign, which means extra sensitivity and intuition. that's all i know really :) oh, and someone once told me that cancer women all have great breasts. *glances down* hehe.. yup ;)

WOW...man you guys are creeping me out. All of your descriptions were direct hit, this is amazingly weird. I'm a major homebody. (You can barely get me out of the house) I just love to be in my room, also I love cooking. When ever my mom goes to cook I drop everything and go help her out. My roomates in college love me for this too.

I can also relate to the lasting love, especially with girlfriends. When i'm insulted or hurt (which doesn't take much) i will get really defensive, but give me a couple of days and i will be right back in their arms. However, when I was young I had a lot of family problems (my sister who was my bestfriend left and i felt abandoned because my parents unknowing pushed me aside) ever since then i've had real bad trusting issues. But once i befriend someone it's hard to let go...

My experience from dateing a cancer girl is that, yes, they do have nicely sized breasts, they like to be reasured and complemented, they like to have a sense of security and reliability... There creative when it comes to decorations and landscapes, they can sometimes be a bit possesive and like to be the center of attention, and also like to know whats going on and don't appreciate being lied too(Who does?)... They sometimes can seem somewhat distant held back like... and then all of a sudden be very loveing and careing. I'm a Cancer girl, and I *DO NOT* (that's "do not" in big bold capital letters) screw people around. I get screwed over, b/c I ignore my intuition and want to believe in the best in everyone. Then, I get absolutely F**KED OVER... (yeah, I'm about $2,000 in debt trying to help the last a**hole I was with, that's not even counting the fact that I bought him a car, got him a job, and paid his bills while he tried to get his life straight - then left me when he lost his 4th job in a year, and I wasn't willing to pay the bills anymore. He said he had used me the whole time. Plus he torched and/or stole everything I had, inc. my poetry...). There are good and bad people in every sign... See it, it depends on what sign you and another person are, I think, because some signs tend to clash more than others.

A basic description for a Cancer is best found in analyzing what a crab is... It is an animal who carries it's home on it's back, so it's close to it at all times. The shell it has protects the soft insides of the animal (as we tend to place barriers around ourselves, for protection of our sensitive souls). It has large powerful claws that it uses in defense when provoked (my mouth is my claw, God knows I can start going off when I'm hurt, and I *WILL* go for the jugular). And when escaping a situation, it moves in a sideways motion, trying to side step the problem rather than confront it head on.

BTW, sorry for the ramble about my ex. I've never gone off about him like that on this board, I thought I was over it. Well, I'm over HIM, but I just wrote out another check for some of his debt I owe, b/c everything was in my name - I must be an idiot... (specifically, the cell phone I had under my name that he racked up over $500 on, talking to the girl he was cheating on me with in West VA). ARGH! All said has pretty much hit the nail on the head,about being homebodies, wanting to "mother others",being very sensitive, and walking sideways(holding back before jumping in,scoping out the situation)

and there are other aspects in your chart besides a sun sign so please don't anyone believe that "cancer men" or "cancer women" screw people around.

Also your every day life and experiences have influence, although how you react does have alot to do with your chart, and really GOOD astrolegers can look at the total chart and make certain predictions.

I have read on astrolegers who looked at Charles Mansons, Hitlers and Ted Bundys charts, not knowing who the charts belonged to and could see the darkness and murderous tendencies.....

Home oriented, that's for sure... they don't call me the hermit for nothing! I always try and scope out every situation before diving in. I am very loving, but I really only show it when it's necessary. I'm not the type to hug everyone I meet, but I try. :) If you reach out to me, I'll be your friend forever, no doubt. I was engaged to a cancer. And for her at least it was true that if you show them love they will love you back. I said something caring to her when we first met, She was having a hard time with some issues in her life and i tried to cheer her up... The next thing that happened was us being a couple. We had a happy relationship during the first year... but things got sour after that 8(

Im a scorpio so we both "clicked" you could say.. From the first moment she met me she was attracted to me ( she told me this many times.. it was just something "about" me).

I was the one that ended the relationship.. We hurt each other alot. IM direct and she had to take time (sometimes alot) to get around to telling me what she felt.. And there was no use trying to make her talk because that will not happen. I never liked trying to make her talk so i would stay in my own lil world suffering to know the truth about how she felt.

Cancers can be good for us scorpios but it really does depend on the people.. I wont dismiss the signs and what they are because i do think that they are correct for the most part about "who/what" we are can be.. But we are people and we are different from one another.

What i learned from this relationship is that i am really alone in the world. Now dont take this in the wrong sense, I both loved and hated that relationship. But i realized that id never get what i truely want from that relationship.. Real Love.

I'm one of the nicest Cancers that I know.
Although when hurt I do retreat big time into my shell.
But I do empathize with others and one of my habits I wish I could got a hold of is crying over sappy commercials.

I have a tremendous amount of cancer influence and am a true moon child however, my past experiences and the world around me have a big impact also.
I think alot of cancers when young, have a bit of a duality in their life...wanting to party and wanting to be a home body...it can cause inner turmoil.
I felt kinda schizo for awhile, till I got a bit older.
I still like to party but at a lower key, I have very few but good friends, I like to feed everyone, and I tend to mother others.
But i am very introverted because of my past and the cancer influence, and have found art to be the way to express myself.
I like the forums as i can interact with others at my own pace and help when I can and learn alot from others points of view.

I can't stand it when I've hurt someone and will do all I can to make it up to them.
But yes, if you screw with my family you will get crabbed.
